“VENCEREMOS”, de las serie Curricán”, 2025
La pieza consiste en una placa de metal en forma de cucharilla de pesca atada mediante un cable acerado. La placa tiene inscrita a relieve la palabra ‘Venceremos’, recurrente en la retórica política. Se trata de una propuesta que reflexiona en torno al discurso como herramienta persuasiva que, como la pesca al curricán, atrae desde la apariencia a su objetivo; haciéndolo perseguir el aparejo hasta quedar atrapado en él.
The piece consists of a metal plate in the shape of a fishing spoon attached by a steel cable. The plate is embossed with the word “Venceremos”(We will win), a recurring phrase in political rhetoric. It reflects on discourse as a persuasive tool that, like trolling, attracts its target through appearance, causing them to chase the tackle until they are caught.
