A fantastic day and such an honour to visit Wellington Barracks again to hear the the Band of the Grenadier Guards rehearse for and then perform for the`Guard Mount´ - the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.
Thank you to all who helped organise the special treat for my beloved Sarahbanda, who were blown away by our wonderful British pomp and circumstance and were also so impressed by the excellent standard of the band.
Thank you Chris, Jemma, Dolly, Morgan and everyone in the band for making us feel so welcome and it was wonderful to experience again the high standard of music-making in our British army bands. 🇬🇧

Thank you so much to you all for welcoming me and my beloved Sarahbanda this morning at Wellington Barracks. We loved listening and watching - fabulous playing!

We were delighted today to welcome Sarah Willis, 4th Horn of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and her group of Cuban musicians SarahBanda, during their first visit to the UK.

Having only arrived yesterday, today’s visit was arranged as a surprise for the musicians ahead of their two upcoming UK performances.

We’ve enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Sarah over the years, working together on masterclasses and massed horn concerts amongst other exciting projects. It was wonderful to reconnect and share this special visit!
