‘Entre temps’ by Leandro Erlich

Presented by Xippas Paris in partnership with Galleria Continua, ‘Entre temps’ brings Leandro Erlich’s installation ‘Classroom’ to France for the first time, alongside a selection of works exploring memory, belonging and the passage of time. Through a large glass pane, visitors encounter a life-size recreation of a 1970s classroom, seemingly abandoned and covered in dust. Subtle lighting effects place their ghostlike reflections inside the room, blurring the boundaries between past and present, spectator and participant. An uprooted house and sand-covered typewriters extend this journey through familiar spaces and objects, inviting us to reconsider the places and experiences that shape who we become.

Happy birthday to Susana Pilar Delahante Matienzo! 🎂

Moving across photography, performance, installation and research, Susana Pilar brings personal experience into dialogue with collective histories. Her body becomes a living archive, carrying the memory of her ancestors and a determination to reclaim space, identity and belonging.

In 'Return Our Bodies', her voice becomes a call for restitution, demanding the return of Black human remains held in European museums and confronting the enduring legacies of colonial violence. In 'Protect it at all costs', light becomes a symbol of inner peace and renewal, expressing the importance of safeguarding one’s own strength.

Both works are now on view at GALLERIA CONTINUA / Les Moulins as part of 'Les Moulins 20 years', bringing together gestures of protection and reclamation that affirm the right to dignity, memory and self-determination.

Happy birthday, Susana ❤️

Save the date: Friday, October 23 at 6 PM. GALLERIA CONTINUA is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Michelangelo Pistoletto, “Avant et Après l'Arte povera”, at its Marais space in Paris.

The exhibition traces a trajectory from the 1950s to the present, highlighting the artist’s ability to continually renew his language while placing at the heart of his practice a reflection on the relationship between art, the individual, and society. The title of the exhibition underscores that Arte Povera represents only one stage within a 70-year-long history.

The show will be on view from 16.10.26.
Public opening: 23.10.26 | 6-9 pm

Happy Birthday Sislej Xhafa 🎉🎉

To celebrate the occasion, we are very pleased to announce his next project: 'L'eau sans rivière' opening in ART & FUTUR space at GALLERIA CONTINUA / Les Moulins on 14.10.26.

'L'eau sans rivière', his new solo exhibition bringing together works created over more than two decades of artistic practice, new works conceived specifically for the occasion, and 'Le Village de l’ Imagination, a project developed with children and young people from the local community.

'L’eau sans rivière' unfolds as an exhibition in a constant state of transformation. Existing works, new productions, collective experiments and performances coexist within a shared environment, allowing the exhibition to evolve through the presence and participation of those who inhabit it.

The project is part of ART & FUTUR, a research programme dedicated to cultural mediation through ongoing and diverse forms of experimentation. Conceived to foster an encounter with art that goes beyond contemplation, ART & FUTUR offers children and members of the local community experiences that invite them to live art, feel it and become part of it. Le Village de l’Imagination extends this approach by making participation, experimentation and imagination essential components of the artistic experience.

Now on view in San Gimignano: ‘Tomorrow I shall contradict myself’ by Hank Willis Thomas & Man Ray.

Taking its title from Man Ray’s embrace of contradiction, the exhibition invites us to reconsider what we see and how we see it. Thomas’s exploration of identity, representation and collective action meets the experimental spirit of an artist who has long been a reference for his practice, opening a conversation across generations about the possibilities of the image. As perspectives shift and familiar forms take on new meanings, looking becomes an active process of discovery and questioning.

The presentation unfolds alongside the exhibition at Galleria Continua / Roma, organised in collaboration with Territorio works.

Pascale Marthine Tayou participates with 'Things Fall Apart' (2014) in 'Along the Color Line – Traces of a Transatlantic Modernism' at Museum Ludwig in Cologne.

Marking the museum’s 50th anniversary, the exhibition explores the connections between the art of the international Black diaspora and European modernism. From the Harlem Renaissance to Négritude and contemporary artistic practices, it traces histories of exchange and examines how Black artists have challenged colonial perspectives and created new narratives.

What remains of the animal within us?
A means of communication, an instrument of balance, a part of the body that can be shed to survive: the tail becomes the starting point for an exploration of memory, instinct and transformation. Bringing together works by thirteen artists, ‘La Coda: appendice, traccia, memoria’ considers what the body preserves, forgets and continues to desire. Poet and curator Elisa Biagini accompanies each work with a poem written especially for the exhibition, weaving words and images into a dialogue that opens new ways of looking and listening.
