Maestro Aleksandar Tasic, Jakub Bokun and Milos Mijatovic held the 6th Serbian Clarinet Academy in the wonderful city of Vranje hosted by the Music School “Stevan Mokranjac” with director prof. Tanja Bliznakovski, we thanks a lot for their support!💐💐💐

Meet our professors and artists at the 6th Serbian Clarinet Academy in the city of Vranje from April 27 to May 3, 2024, Serbia!!!

MILOS MIJATOVIC, one of the most interesting clarinetists of the younger generation, was born in (Nis, 1982). Graduated from ’Dr Vojislav Vuckovic’ music high school in Nis in the class of professor Tomislav Nikolic. He graduated clarinet at The Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in the class of professor Nikola Srdic.
He mastered his skills at the master courses directed by Yehuda Gilad ( University of Southern California USA), professor Michael Colins (Royal Academy-London, England), Mate Bekavac (Slovenia), Professor Ernesto Molinar( Bern University of Arts, Switzerland) professor Michel Arrignon (Conservatoire Nacional Superier de Music – Paris, France) professor Robert Spring (Arizona University,USA), Poul Mayer (France) professor Karl Leister (Germany)…
He won first prizes in the international competition in Barletta, Italy 2005 and 2006. Second price of International Competition Young Musicians, Padova (Italy) 2007. Special price on International Chamber music Competition in Subotica, Serbia.
The University in Novi Sad and ministry of Culture awarded him ‘Exceptional Award’ for his artistic activities, and in 2011 he won the scholarship of Sweden government. He performed as a soloist with Symphony orchestra of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, Novi Sad Chamber orchestra, Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, and had concerts in Italy, England, Germany, France, Sweden and Serbia.
He performed at some of the most important festivals in Serbia and abroad, such as NOMUS, International Tribune of Composer, Music Festival in Trollheten (Sweden), British Isles Music Festival ( United Kingdom) and IMPULS. International Ensemble and Composer Academy for Contemporary Music (Austria).
In the period between 2001 and 2006, Milos Mijatovic performed as solo clarinetist with Symphony orchestra of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad (Serbia) in numerous famous concert halls with world known conductors such as Kent Nagano, Wolfgang Sawalisch, Valery Gergiev, Claudio Vandelli , Mladen Jagust, Berislav Skenderovic and many others. From 2005 onwards, he is a permanent member of Southeastern Chamber Orchestra at the position of a solo clarinetist. He made recordings for TV and radio stations both in the country and abroad (RTS, RTV, ART TV,).
Milos Mijatovic is member of the ,,No Borders Orchestra'' since 2013 with whom he performed in the country and abroad. Founder clarinet octet ,,EBONY’’ consisting of all the students of class professor Milos Mijatovic. As a first clarinetist Opera in Nis greatly contributed to the establishment of the opera after 50 years with which he performed dozens of times. A member of the ensemble for contemporary music ,,STUDIO 6'' with which premiered in work SONGS OF WARS I HAVE SEEN (2007) by Heiner Goebbels with words by Gertrude Stein. Working part-time at the Symphony Orchestra of the City of Nis on the position of the first clarinet.
Milos Mijatovic is regular member of International Clarinet Association USA and Europen Clarinet Association. Since 2007 he has worked as an assistant to the professor Ante Grgin. In 2017 he became Associate professor of clarinet at Faculty of Arts, University of Nis, Serbia. Professor Milos Mijatovic is a Royal Global, Silverstein Works and D’Addario Artist, and interprets on the Royal ‘’Soloist’’ clarinet model, Silverstein Titanium Ligature and D’Addario Reserve Classic reeds.

ALEKSANDAR TASIĆ, clarinet
He graduated and completed his master studies at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in the class of Professor Nikola Srdić. Tasić mastered his skills at the master classes held by Professor Ricardo Morales (Julliard in New York), Michael Collins (Royal Academy in London) and Michel Arrignon (Paris National Conservatory). The University of Novi Sad awarded him a special prize for outstanding artistic activities, and in 2002, he received a scholarship of the Government of the Republic of Austria.

He was the winner of first prizes at the competitions of Yugoslav pupils and students of music, and he also won the first prize at the Laureats of Orpheus competition in 1998. As a soloist he has performed with the Verbier Festival Orchestra in Switzerland, Novosibirsk Philharmonic, Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, Stanislav Binički Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence, Belgrade String Orchestra Dušan Skovran, Novi Sad Chamber Orchestra, Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Žebeljan, Camerata Panonnica String Orchestra, at concerts in Switzerland, The Netherlands, Russia and Serbia. He has performed at major festivals in Serbia and abroad, such as Nomus, Bemus, International Composers Review, Les Classiques de Villars, Festival&Academy Verbier and Reveries Musicales de Villars (Switzerland), Y4Y Music Festival (Bangkok, Thailand), Elmau Castle Music Festival (Germany), KotorArt (Montenegro) and the Bregenz Festival (Austria). From 2000 to 2006, Aleksandar Tasić was a solo clarinettist of the Verbier Festival Orchestra (and since 2006 he has been a permanent member holding the same position). With this orchestra he has performed in all major concert halls of the world, under the batons of famous conductors such as James Levine, Zubin Mehta, Kent Nagano, Wolfgang Sawallisch, Valery Gergiev, Claudio Vandelli and others. At the Academy of Novi Sad he is a full professor of clarinet and since 2016 a full time clarinet professor at FILUM in Kragujevac.

Since 2007, he has been playing in a chamber duo with a guitarist Zoran Krajišnik, with whom he recorded a compact disc Ben Ritmato e Deciso. He is also one of then founders of the Novi Sad Chamber Ensemble with which he performs in the country and abroad with prominent Novi sad artists in different formations. Aleksandar Tasić is a representative of a famous manufacturer of equipment for wind instruments Vandoren in France, Argentinian reed company Gonzales and American company for clarinets manufacture Royal Global. He plays Firebird brand instruments.
