🎬As part of Guest Festival Selection of the 33rd European Film Festival Palić we hosted representatives of the 𝗦𝗸𝗼𝗽𝗷𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 and the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗷𝗶 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗰.

👉🎬𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮 is currently enjoying one of its strongest and most exciting moments in recent years. That is why we have chosen to dedicate this year's Focus programme to the finest new voices shaping contemporary German filmmaking. For the second consecutive year, German female directors have been selected for the Competition at Cannes—the world's most prestigious film festival—while numerous other German productions continue to triumph at major festivals and attract impressive theatrical audiences at home. Our opening film, "𝘖𝘩, 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘜𝘯𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘝𝘰𝘪𝘥", by Simon Verhoeven drew more than one million admissions in German cinemas. Palić has proudly shared in this remarkable success. Simon Verhoeven received both the Best Director Award and the Audience Award, while "𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳" by Susanne Heinrich, which we presented as only the third festival after its award-winning world premiere in Shanghai, received a Special Mention.
𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: 𝗔 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗞𝗼𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗿, 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗞𝗼𝘅𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗕𝗿𝘂̈𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺𝘀: 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹.
