The Witcher 4 is officially in the works, but it'll be some time before the highly anticipated follow-up to The Witcher 3 arrives. First announced back in 2022, the new open-world RPG was revealed as one of many exciting upcoming CD Projekt Red games in the pipeline, alongside the likes of a new AAA RPG trilogy a Witcher remake, and a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel.
While it's likely still several years away at this stage, we've gotten to see and learn more about the new adventure from CD Projekt Red. With a first look at new protagonist Ciri during the Game Awards 2024, we also also got to see a State of Unreal Witcher 4 tech demo earlier this year. The development team has also been giving us some interesting food for thought by shedding more light on the direction of the next Witcher game, which is drawing from some of the earliest feedback for the Witcher 3 in its approach.
As the studio behind some of the best RPGs of all-time, from the Witcher series to Cyberpunk 2077, there's no doubt that the new-gen experience set in the Witcher universe is one of the biggest new games on the way.
