Manifestation

A Two-Day Intensive in Body, Voice and Movement
by Nu Simakina

How do we begin to express ourselves?
How can we speak and act not only through words, but through presence, movement, voice, and our connection to ourselves and others?

Manifestation is a two-day intensive dedicated to exploring the body, voice, and performativity as tools for self-expression. Through movement, vocal practices, improvisation, and group work, we will develop a deeper connection with ourselves and learn how to bring that connection into action.

The main goal of the intensive is to create a safe and supportive environment where everyone can gradually find more freedom in expressing themselves — through movement, speech, silence, action, and presence.

During the intensive, we will:

— explore the relationship between body, voice, and inner states
— identify and work through physical and psychological blocks
— practice movement, breathing, sounding, and attention exercises
— engage with the basics of performative thinking
— create individual and collective performative expressions

The intensive will conclude with an open presentation where participants may share the outcomes of their work with an audience. Participation in the presentation is not required — but by the end of the course, you will most likely want to be part of it.

Schedule:
June 5 — 19:00–22:00
June 6 — 13:00–18:00
June 6 — 18:00–19:00 Final Presentation

Total duration: 9 hours

Fee:
8,000 RSD / 70 EUR for the full intensive

No previous experience is required.

Open to anyone interested in developing a deeper connection with themselves, their body, and new ways of engaging with the world through movement, presence, and creative practice.

Body Meets the City
Movement Workshop with Katya Volkova

How does the city shape our bodies? What changes in the way we move when we begin paying attention to the spaces around us?

In this movement workshop, we will explore how our bodies meet the city. We begin with a gentle warm-up and simple partner exercises to arrive in our senses and connect with one another. From there, participants will work in pairs to investigate selected fragments of the urban landscape, noticing how surfaces, rhythms, and architecture influence movement and perception.

We will conclude with a short collective improvisation and a sharing circle.

Together we ask: how can we experience the city differently, and who do we become when we move through it with attention and care?

The walk will begin at KP Radionica (Admirala Geprata 10) and continue through the city center. If you are running late, send us a message and we will share the group’s current location.

performance evening

An evening of two performative works exploring anxiety, anonymity, bodily adaptation, and ways of existing within social systems. Through dance, sound, voice, and video, the artists approach states of dissolution, inner tension, and the search for embodied presence.

Closed Systems Psychedelia — Katya Volkova
A performance about mimicry as a survival strategy and, simultaneously, a loss of individuality. Through choreography, sound, and image work, Katya Volkova explores bodily mechanisms of adaptation to social roles, office routines, and collective behavioral scripts. The work exists at the intersection of dance, somatic, and performative practices, inviting the viewer into a state of attunement and observation of shifting bodily presence in space.

Katya Volkova is an interdisciplinary artist, choreographer, and dancer. Her practice explores communal situations, social landscapes, and embodied modes of communication. She has participated in the Atlas program and DanceWEB at ImPulsTanz festival. She is the curator of the laboratory “Club of Anonymously Dancing.” She lives and works in Berlin.

Abyss Rising — Nu Simakina , Nika Blue , Egor Kurchugin
An interdisciplinary performance on the nature of anxiety, unfolding through the metaphor of an abyss. Voice, live modulated sound, and video projections create a space of inner chaos, where a person searches for a path toward light through a continuous state of tension. The work combines sonic poetry, bodily presence, and visual environment, transforming the experience of anxiety into a collective sensory experience.

Nu Simakina is a performance artist and curator working with site-specific theatre, vocal and somatic practices, video art, and participatory art. She has participated in Russian and international festivals and contemporary art biennials, and is a co-founder of KP Radionica.
The work was created in collaboration with media artist Nika Blue and musician Egor Kurchugin.

Looks like dominoes, plays like chess, grips you like poker.
A game where you need to keep the whole table in your head, think three moves ahead, and trust your luck.

This evening we’ll be playing Rummikub — a game that’s easy to get into and impossible to stop playing once you start.
The rules and the vibe will be guided by our dear friend Tanya Lukyanova

You’ll also have a chance to dive into Tarot with Dasha Soroka.

Dasha Soroka is a tarot reader, shamanic practitioner, and creative bird.
She doesn’t predict destiny or tell fortunes, but works with Tarot as a system of probabilities and symbolic imagery — helping people notice possible paths, inner conflicts, and unexpected turns in their personal stories.

Readings will take place as short individual 20-minute sessions.
Price per session: 1000 rsd.

A swap is a place where things stop gathering dust and start moving again.
Bring anything you no longer need but that could still make someone else happy — clothes, books, dishes, decor, or any small items.

Browse, try, take — no rules, no counting.
You can stop by out of curiosity or stay for the whole evening, surrounded by conversations, music, and unexpected finds.

Sometimes the most unexpected things turn out to be exactly what you need.

The Women’s culture club is a space where we explore the culture created by women about women. Through music, cinema and other genres, we look for something that resonates with our experience, and we notice the similarities between the heroines and us. It helps to feel that we are not alone.

At the musical evening, we will listen to and discuss the songs of Olivia Rodrigo and Mitski.

About how youth is considered “the best time,” but instead brings anxiety and disappointment.
And about the fatigue of one’s own thoughts, self-criticism and attempts to drown out the inner “noise”.

You can actively participate in the discussion, or you can just listen. 🐈
