Swingidunum presents Swing Dance Weekend with Ben (USA) & Dasha (RUS)
We are delighted to introduce Ben White (USA)!🤩
Ben White has been addicted to all things swing since 2004, studying under original masters from the swing era and working with many of the top lindy hoppers of the last 20 years. He’s dedicated most of his adult life to connecting people through dance and music, and is renowned for his ability to create fun, welcoming classes for anyone whether they have two left feet or they’ve been dancing their whole life.
In addition to teaching regularly throughout Europe and North America, Ben has produced several major festivals such as Stormy Weather Jazz Fest and Big Sky Weekend and currently heads up the Syncopation Foundation, a coalition of dance schools and venues across the northwest US.

Swingidunum presents Swing Dance Weekend with Ben (USA) & Dasha (RUS)

We are delighted to introduce Dasha Belokurova (RUS)!🤩
Dasha went to her first dance class in 2010. Having started with boogie-woogie, she has been exploring the world of swing dances ever since: lindy hop, solo jazz, balboa, blues – seems like she can not make a choice in favour of just one style.
In 2015, together with her close friends, she founded Summertime Swing – now the biggest swing dance club in Saint Petersburg. The following year she started teaching and now cannot imagine her life without it and is always happy to share her passion for jazz dancing.
A degree in teaching helps her keep the balance between fun and efficiency in the learning process. She likes exploring dancing and body movement together with her students and sharing her tips on improvisation.✨

Dear friends and dancers, with heavy hearts, we’ve made the difficult decision not to organize the Swingidunum Festival in 2025. Things are a bit unstable here in Serbia right now with the huge university students and anti-corruption protests, but we’re still active locally. While we can't predict how things will go, we're full of hope that we’ll be back with a big festival in Belgrade next year.
In the meantime, we’re planning a smaller event this year, to keep the local spirit alive!
Swingidunum presents a weekend of workshops with an international teaching couple – Ben White from USA and Dasha Belokurova from Russia. We’re thrilled to have them teaching together in Belgrade for the first time on March 15th and 16th!

DJ VLADI started dancing in 2014 and DJing not long after, in 2016. DJ Vladi also teaches and competes in almost all swing dance styles. If you know him, you might know that he is an excellent blogger when it comes to dancing and DJing.
