Guanacaste Youth Theatre

Guanacaste Youth Theatre The GYT was created to provide artistic exposure to the children of Guanacaste through theatre.

We are a new children's theatre dedicated to bringing theatre education and performance to the young residents of Guanacaste. GYT We offer classes, student shows, and touring professional performances. Currently, we only offer instruction in English, but we are hoping to expand very soon. Meet our directors:
Originally from the US, Stephen (BFA, MEd) & Kristen (BS) French have a combined total of

over 50 years of experience as theatre
professionals and teachers. They have been in love with Guanacaste and its people since their first visit several years ago. Kristen has spent her entire adult life in education having taught high school English, theatre, speech, and debate for over 20 years. Stephen started his professional life in the world of theatre where he spent over 25 years as an actor, director, improviser, costumer, producer, and much more. He spent the last nine years as the director and instructor of Warrior Theatre at Davidson High School and is currently an online adjunct professor of theatre with the University of Mobile in Mobile, Alabama.
