Paint & Create: Ceramic Jewelry Workshop

Living Pigments: a meditative painting with earth tinctures by Geraldine Gene

Using turmeric, hibiscus, purple cabbage, and other everyday ingredients, we’ll create a palette of living pigments inspired by nature itself. Through slow, intuitive painting, you’ll explore color as a sensory experience—one that changes, evolves, and invites you to stay present.

No painting experience is needed. Just curiosity, open senses, and a willingness to enjoy the process.

Author and surfer Jaimal Yogis will read Mop Rides the Waves of Life aloud at La Salita — a picture book about riding the waves of emotion the same way you ride the waves in the ocean. Then kids get to draw, make, and move through a few easy breathing games together.

Jaimal is a father of three, a lifelong surfer, and a meditation instructor.

This one is for the 4-to-8 crowd — and whoever tags along

Ceramic Sculpture Workshop with Amilkar Palacios

Explore volume, emptiness, and expression through clay.

In this immersive two-day workshop, participants will work with 10 kilos of clay to create a hollow figurative sculpture using traditional hand-building techniques. Through demonstrations and guided practice, Amilkar will share his approach to sculpting, hollowing, and refining ceramic forms.

No experience required—just curiosity and a willingness to explore.
