Day 4 into the rescue of this sweet girl. She is making small strides in her eating and drinking. She is alert when not sleeping. Absolutely loves to be held and have her belly rubbed! She has an ulcer in her right eye that Darlene is putting drops from the vet in 2-3 times a day. Stay tuned for the continued improvement we hope she makes.

LONG POST PLEASE READ TO THE END!
Darlene was out in service and came across this very sick and malnourished kitty. She asked the householder if she could take it to a vet to try and save it. She agreed and Darlene took it a vet who, after seeing the condition of the kitten to make room in their schedule to assist. The vet examined the kitten and presented a possible treatment but told Darlene don’t be surprised if it doesn’t make it through the night. Darlene called me balling and asked me what she should do. I said let’s go for it even though the vet bill was not inexpensive. Darlene’s love for animals is immeasurable so I knew we had to fight for this little kitty’s life. Darlene was sent home with various medications and special food. The kitty is responding very well after only one day!!!! It’s (we don’t know it’s s*x) crusty eyes were completely shut and unable to open them. Not anymore! Its eyes are mostly open now and is starting to eat the special food. NOW WITH ALL THIS SAID, I am not a cat person whatsoever, don’t like the shedding and hair all over the house. Our three Yorkies don’t shed whatsoever. However, I have a strong feeling I am getting slightly attached to this yet unnamed kitty. After all, he is one of Jehovah’s creation and it needed all the help it could get to survive!
