🇨🇴/🇺🇸 Purga del compresor: Es un tema demasiado importante del que se habla muy poco. Como mencioné en el video, la humedad del aire se condensa dentro del tanque y termina acumulándose en forma de agua. Por eso es tan importante purgarlo o drenarlo, como quieran llamarlo. Hacer este mantenimiento ayuda a prevenir la corrosión del tanque y a mantener el compresor en mejor estado.

Sé que hay personas que realizan este procedimiento con el tanque presurizado, pero yo les comparto lo que me funcionó a mí. En mi caso, mi compresor no tiene una válvula de purga que simplemente se abra y listo. Intenté hacerlo varias veces con presión y siempre terminaba igual: el agua salía escupida y la tuerca quería salir disparada. Por eso prefiero hacerlo con el tanque completamente vacío, ya que además sentí que drenó mucha más agua.

As I mentioned in the video, moisture from the air condenses inside the compressor tank and eventually collects as water at the bottom. That's why it's so important to drain or purge the tank—whatever you prefer to call it. Doing this simple maintenance helps prevent rust and corrosion inside the tank and keeps your compressor in better condition.

I know some people drain their compressor while the tank is still pressurized, but I'm simply sharing what worked best for me. My compressor doesn't have a dedicated drain valve that you can just open. I tried draining it several times while it was under pressure, and every time I ended up with water spraying everywhere and the drain plug trying to shoot out. That's why I prefer doing it only after the tank is completely depressurized. Not only did it feel much safer, but I also found that it drained a lot more water.
