Formada en Pereira en 2009, esta máquina de brutal death metal regresó tras un periodo de inactividad con una formación consolidada y un sonido aún más extremo.

En 2023 lanzaron el EP Museum of Death y posteriormente presentaron su álbum debut Bursting From The Flesh For Malevolent Exaltation, reafirmando su propuesta con composiciones agresivas, técnica sólida e influencias de bandas clásicas del género como Dying Fetus, Suffocation y Dehumanized.

Son la segunda dosis de brutalidad que el Eje Cafetero aporta a este VI Festival de la Candela.

For this fifth announcement we are pleased to confirm:

EXECUTIONER [Executioner]
[Brutal Death Metal] 🇨🇴 Pereira

Formed in Pereira in 2009, this brutal death metal machine returned after a period of inactivity with a consolidated lineup and an even more extreme sound.

In 2023 they released the EP Museum of Death and later presented their debut album Bursting From The Flesh For Malevolent Exaltation, reaffirming their proposal with aggressive compositions, solid technique and influences from classic bands of the genre such as Dying Fetus, Suffocation and Dehumanized.

They are the second dose of brutality that the Eje Cafetero brings to this VI Festival de la Candela.

Nuestro cuarto anuncio para este VI Festival de la Candela es:

IMPURE FAITH [IMPURE FAITH ⛧]
[Brutal Death Metal] 🇨🇴 Armenia

Formada en 2006 por su guitarrista Andrés Zapata en Armenia, esta máquina mezcla rápidos blastbeats, demoledores cortes slam, voces guturales y líricas caóticas y esotéricas.

Con músicos provenientes de otras bandas fuertes de la escena nacional, el proyecto se consolida como una agrupación llena de talento. Su primer álbum Revelation Of Exodus (2018) bajo el sello ruso Coyote Records los catapultó a los mejores escenarios del país.

Este año vuelven a Medellín a presentar su nuevo trabajo Infected by Evil Manifestation, que será lanzado bajo el sello estadounidense New Standard Elite. En nuestro festival y nuestra ciudad, donde los acogemos como su segunda casa, repiten con nosotros después de haber participado en la IV versión. Son parte de la dosis de brutalidad que el Eje Cafetero siempre aporta a nuestro festival.

Our fourth announcement for this VI Festival de la Candela is:

IMPURE FAITH [IMPURE FAITH ⛧]
[Brutal Death Metal] 🇨🇴 Armenia

Formed in 2006 by guitarist Andrés Zapata in Armenia, this machine mixes fast blastbeats, crushing slam cuts, guttural vocals and chaotic, esoteric lyrics.

With musicians coming from other strong bands of the national scene, the project stands as a true force full of talent. Their debut Revelation Of Exodus (2018) under the Russian label Coyote Records catapulted them to the best stages in the country.

This year they return to Medellín to present their new full-length Infected by Evil Manifestation, which will be released through US label New Standard Elite. In our festival and our city, where we welcome them as their second home, they repeat with us after playing the IV edition. They are part of the dose of brutality that the Eje Cafetero always brings to our festival.

Formada en Soacha en 2006 y radicada en Bogotá, esta máquina de brutal death metal se ha consolidado durante dos décadas como una de las referentes de la escena extrema colombiana. En formato power trío entregan un show donde la precisión técnica y la brutalidad se fusionan en una descarga demoledora.

Su discografía incluye Unavoidable Destruction (2012), Sickening Cases About Rotten Souls (2017) y su más reciente trabajo Unheimlich (2025), un álbum conceptual que combina atmósferas oscuras con la agresividad característica del género. Lanzado bajo el sello español pathologically explicit rcds, el disco sigue conquistando nuevas audiencias.

Formada en Bogotá en 2004, esta máquina de technical brutal death metal se caracteriza por presentaciones en vivo explosivas donde cada integrante busca entregar adrenalina, caos y violencia pura, con una ejecución impecable y alta calidad técnica. Aseguran que quienes asisten a sus shows vivan una demencia sónica apabullante e irrepetible.

MUCHAS GRACIAS A TODOS

Anoche fue la prueba de que cuando se cree de verdad, las cosas pueden pasar. A las bandas que viajaron desde México: Mavros Tragos, Intestinal Pestilence, Rotten Heads Offcial y Bloodian DeathOfficial. Gracias hermanos por cruzar fronteras, por traer su brutalidad, su energía y su p**a alma al escenario. Gracias por regalarnos unos shows tan increíbles; quedan siempre las puertas de esta ciudad abiertas. A Stenches Beyond Repulsive y Revulsed (Bogotá): gracias por representar con orgullo la escena nacional.

Y sobre todo… al público que estuvo ahí un jueves a pesar del clima y de los compromisos laborales del día siguiente. A cada persona que decidió no quedarse en casa, que creyó en algo nuevo, que apoyó bandas que no conocía. Ustedes fueron los verdaderos héroes de la noche. Los aplausos, los gritos, el pit, el respeto… todo eso se sintió.

En una ciudad donde la gente suele ir solo a lo seguro, a ver siempre lo mismo, anoche ustedes demostraron que sí se puede apostar por lo diferente.

Al equipo de trabajo de Ciudad Frecuencia y a mis parceros Camilo Diaz y Giovanny Orrego por siempre estar tan dispuestos a ayudarme en todo.

Este apoyo nos motiva y nos da fuerza para seguir trayendo bandas que valen la pena, aunque no sean las más famosas, y nos confirma que vale la pena soñar y arriesgar.
