Agustín Barajas. Artistic Director and Choreographer.
With an international career across Europe, Latin America and the Middle East, Agustín Barajas brings to España – Fantasía Sinfónica a strong artistic vision rooted in flamenco tradition and open to a contemporary stage language.
Over the course of his career, he spent seven years as a choreographer and dancer for television, performed as a solo dancer with the Rafael Amargo Company, and took part as a bailaor in Miguel Poveda’s show Había mil Federicos. In 2024, he was also part of the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía.
Winner of the Jóvenes Talentos de Andalucía awards and ambassador of the city of Granada, he created his own company in 2009 for the Shanghai World Expo. With it, he has created four productions and toured nationally and internationally.
As a dancer, choreographer and artistic director, he builds his work on technique, character and emotion, keeping the essence of flamenco at its core
