Art for Music track Mantra of
For this series I made the process from analogic cut and paste on cardboar at 20cms x 20cms. Then all was detailed in digital using Photoshop.
The concept is a collage system graphics that can work to identify every single in digital music plataform, and be part of a composition for vinyl packagin for the brand new remixes album from Estados Alterados.

The final collage for the last track summarizes the entire composition.
We have three bands:
Yellow: men
Red: women
Black: men and women
White: family
All presenting oppositional relationships, of what reality is for some and for others, each of them distant and inverse, they mix, touch, and at the same time oppose each other. (A Remix)
Remember: “You won’t miss what you haven’t had.”

The people was built thanks to the family; the family has been built thanks to the man and the woman. The song that inspired this collage speaks of the bad legacy we’ve been carrying as a people, which is why the collage shows a mother with her son in her arms, at time the baby represents the new generations. Behind of them is an old man, he Hilda an axe in his hand, he is representing the old ideas, tha bad legacys that must to change to keep the people alive.

It’s been 4 years since this project started, and I still haven’t finished uploading all of its components. Working on the graphics for a band like this was a unique creative experience, because it combined my dream as a Visual Design student, what I imagined combining a powerful concept, paper cutouts, hand-lettered typography, and digital tools. All of this for a great band.
Only two pieces are left, and the recording of the finished piece is complete.

Fear can take many forms. In the early 90s there was a fear of becoming so immersed in technology that we could not escape it. Let’s look at ourselves now with critical eyes. Now more than ever we are afraid of not being seen, of being ignored, of living without connection.

Conflict, difference, division sometimes have their own face and body. In this image he appears in a signature of secrecy, of an incendiary whisper.

Continuing with the mantra, “you will not miss what you have not had”; Two moments of physical and temporal spaces of diametrically opposite situations collide in this image. The image on this occasion is arranged to be read inverted as well. From this he suggests changing and analyzing both moments.

This track blew my mind 🤯 and is the trigger for the type of collage that is seen on the album, because it is risky, timeless and full of energy. for this reason the city, that furious animal, presents itself from the feminine and at the same time captures the feminine form. both are elegant, modern and powerful.

In this image we see a graphic version of the remix of the song fear. "I fear the foreigner, I am the foreigner" like looking at ourselves in front of a broken mirror. Disfigured and consequently, afraid.

In In this image we see an interpretation of the concept of the song. A search for the approval of the other through an icon on a screen. The relationship of who gives Like to whom here is reversed. The woman looks like someone with money, power and beauty, dressed in a digital dress from the Glitch and the generative graphics gives Like to the ordinary character who is inside a phone.

In this image we see a synthesis of the hectic 90s, a decade that made the band known and that was characterized by a convulsed political, technological and social panorama. Much of this spread thanks to the popularization of cable television and the appearance of specialized channels, many of them permeated by the spheres of power until today.

In this image we are seeing one contrasting escene. This concept will be present in varios remixes for this song in the album to talk about missing what you haven’t have. Two realities crashing visualy and sonorously to create a way to recognize and forget. Even so, the process is not complete, it never will be, and the mantra repeats itself.
