"Invisible Weight". It’s no longer just exhaustion.
It’s the moment when everything becomes too heavy…
and the body stops resisting.

The figure sinks, without struggle.
The water isn’t violent—it’s silent.
It’s that place where the inner noise finally fades away.

A piece about emotional drowning, about disappearing without a sound.

Technically, the work is built through loose, gestural strokes, where irregular lines and layered marks prioritize emotion over precision. The cool color palette—dominated by deep blues, greens, and turquoise tones—envelops the figure in a dense, underwater atmosphere, while the lighter skin tone emerges as a human contrast within the environment. The blending between figure and background reinforces the sense of dissolution and weight.

"Crimson Contemplation". A solitary figure collapses into thought, suspended between weight and silence. Bathed in a suffocating spectrum of reds, the body dissolves into shadow and emotion—flesh becoming atmosphere. The scene blurs the line between sculpture and psyche, evoking a state of internal unrest, where reflection turns heavy and inescapable.

“Residual Presence”. A figure suspended between the physical and the absent. Her pale, identity-less eyes do not rest—they remain. The severed neck suggests a quiet, irreversible disconnection.

A palette of blues, greens, and greys wraps the scene in a cold, almost clinical stillness, while the hair expands like thoughts that no longer find containment.
A moment where the body persists… but the self is gone.

“The Guardian of Silence”. A figure emerges from the mist, wrapped in vivid red, antlers rising like ancient branches. The face remains unseen, yet the presence is undeniable.
Suspended between the human and the ancestral, this guardian inhabits the threshold between forest and spirit.

"Whisper Before the Awakening". Traditional illustration created in a 9x12 inch sketchbook (90 gsm paper). Mixed media: acrylic markers, alcohol-based ink markers, and graphite pencil.

A reinterpretation inspired by the world of Alice, portraying an intimate and symbolic moment between Alice and the Red Queen. The contrast between the softness of the skin tones and the deep red of the roses enhances the duality between innocence and death, while the movement of the water suggests transition, transformation, and rebirth.

Walt Disney Animation Studios mourns the loss of our friend and colleague, Roger Allers, the beloved and acclaimed director (along with Rob Minkoff) of the landmark 1994 animated classic, “The Lion King,” and the co-author of the libretto for the record-setting stage musical adaptation, which debuted on Broadway in 1997. Roger played a pivotal role in the Disney Animation renaissance of the late 80s and throughout the 90s, contributing to the stories for such important films as “The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” and “Beauty and the Beast” (as head of story). Bob Iger calls Roger a “creative visionary who understood the power of great storytelling. His work helped define an era of animation that continues to inspire audiences around the world. We are deeply grateful for everything he gave to Disney and our hearts are with his family, friends and collaborators.”
