Traveling as much as we do and seeing so many cultures has opened our eyes forever. Experience is not a one way street. Remind yourself daily of the experiences you have had. They are a blessing to be remembered. When we place ourselves in environments that aren’t our own, we challenge ourselves. We are forced to think of “our way” vs “their way.” Is one more right than the other? Of course not. There is no “right” way to live... to judge another for their life instead of learning to see the inherent beauty that is in ALL life, and learn from your experiences is to live in the darkness. Live brightly.

We found San Pedro somewhat by accident, and almost didn't enter the church. We had no idea what was in store. The feeling of being so close to such an iconic and somewhat macabre part of the culture of Cartagena de Indias was an indescribable experience.

The body of San Pedro Claver can still be seen in Cartagena, despite him being dead since 1654. He is the patron saint of slaves, a title that reflects his feelings during his life. He was very sensitive toward slaves and died surrounded by those he kept close.

WE ARE GOING TO COLOMBIA!

Wow! It feels like forever since COVID 19 made it's debut and wreaked havoc on all of our lives! We are taking this mother ship back though and if you're thinking like us, it's time for a vacation!

We've been experiencing a lot of both the highlands and the low(lower?)lands of Colorado for the past week and a half. Sometimes it's important to re-familiarize yourself with the beauty that is right next door to you. Even though several of the places we've been this trip have been on the more touristy side of the spectrum, it's been amazing to once again see the beauty this state has to offer.
