Based in the world-leading Xian Concert Hall (www.xianch.com), the Xi'an Symphony Orchestra plays a range of the cornerstones of Western symphonic music, opera, as well as light classics and popular music. Under the dynamic leadership of recently appointed Principal Conductor and Artistic Director, Dane Lam, the orchestra enjoys regular collaborations with renowned soloists and conductors and plays a full concert season to audiences in Xi'an and on tour, both within China and abroad. XSO is the resident orchestra of Xi'an's state-of-the-art, 1300-seat concert hall and orchestra members also play chamber music recitals in its intimate "White Hall" chamber music space. It serves the cultural mecca of Xi'an, one of the world's most ancient cities, home of the famed Terracotta Warriors and the start of the Silk Road. With a population of over 8 million people, orchestra members will have access to a bustling metropolis in one of the major global economies.
