“Overlaps and deconstruction ” , oil on canvas, 50x50cm, 2024.
A view from the #大潭山 ，a beautiful natural park nearby, also a place that I have to pass by everyday. Time flies, that I have been relocating in Macau for almost a year, and today is the last school day of the first academic year of my PhD program. Suffered from papers and countless presentations, but now is time to move forward.

“Untitled”, 50x50 cm, oil on line, 2024.
Started from a Chinese old saying “一寸光阴一寸金”，which means the time is treasure like gold, then when I was walking in Baigechao park, in Macau, I felt like so attracted by the waving water and mosaic ground of the fountain, I can feel the time’s gone but just can’t move my eyes from it. Guess it’s a nice way to waste my time and “gold” here.

“lü” have multiple prononciations and meanings in Chinese, like 绿means green, 滤means filter, 虑 means anxiety, 旅means travel…etc.

It’s one of the biggest painting I ever had. I’ve been to there in July 2019, got canvas prepared in 2020, then started to paint in July 2021, finally finished it in 2022. Took so many days and hours on it, and so many challenges.

“Wanderlust”, oil on canvas, 100 x 140cm, 2022.
It was at the beginning of the year of 2020, also the beginning of the pandemic, I was walking around somewhere in nyc. It was very hard to travel at that moment, bad news came to me everyday. Two and half years after, been through so many times of lockdown, when could it be possible to travel (normally) again?
