Work in Progress, 2026

Exploring M50 in Shanghai felt instantly familiar and completely new at the same time. It is industrial, raw, and deeply alive with creativity. Once a textile factory, this district has become a space for contemporary art, where galleries and studios coexist in a way that feels honest and unfiltered.

What resonates with me most is the dialogue between history and experimentation. Nothing is overly polished; the art lives within the architecture, the street, the process itself. It’s a place that reminds you that contemporary art is about energy, risk, and intention.

As a French-American artist, I’m always drawn to spaces that allow art to live and breathe. An inspiring stop on this journey, and one that will definitely leave its mark on the work to come.

A dear friend and collector shared this beautiful footage of a recent addition to their collection: a special work from my latest exhibition, Mirage in Marrakech.

Three cities, three exhibitions, and somewhere in between I watched these conversations answer the question I’d been curious about for years: what made them decide?

One collector in Tribeca rearranged her entire apartment around a single piece. She said it changed how she thought in that room. Another moved his desk to face the work while he wrote, claiming it altered his entire creative rhythm.

What struck me was how little they spoke about aesthetics. They spoke about presence. About how the work held space. How it shifted the air in a room, made them notice light differently, and brought a certain quality to their mornings.

This year took me from Tribeca to Nice to Marrakesh. The exhibitions were extraordinary. The press, gratifying. But watching those interviews, they reminded me why I paint in the first place.

The collectors who truly connect with the work understand something essential: they’re not decorating. They’re choosing what accompanies their solitude, their reflection, their daily rituals. The work becomes part of how they inhabit their own life.

2025 clarified this for me. As I move into 2026, I’m focused on work that commands its space. Work that becomes indispensable to how one lives.

That leap of faith is where this entire journey began. Leaving behind a career in corporate finance felt impossible, yet choosing art has given me everything: a new way to see the world, and the privilege of seeing my work live with collectors who connect to its story.

For a collector, each piece is more than paint on canvas; it’s the record of that decision, of resilience, of choosing to trust the path of art. Over the last ten years, more than ten exhibitions, and countless conversations with those who’ve taken these works into their homes, I’ve learned that what I paint is only the beginning. It’s in private collections where the work truly continues to breathe.

This October, that journey expands to Morocco. I’m honored to announce that Mirage will be part of the NoBorders exhibition in Marrakesh, a city where history and imagination blur into something timeless.

To my collectors, present and future: thank you for being part of this story.

40 days until Mirage opens at NoBorder, Marrakesh. Each work is a passage between memory and emotion, created to live not only on the walls of the exhibition but also within the intimacy of a collector’s home. For those who seek art that resonates beyond the surface, Mirage is an invitation to experience and acquire pieces that carry both story and soul.
