Incredible

I've just spent the day stewarding at Europe Netball's first day of the Under 17s event, featuring teams from Scotland, England, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and oddly UAE (Wales qualified but chose not to come, before you ask). The speed those girls move! And the height they jump! Of course, by regulation of Walking Netball we are not allowed to do either. Discussing this amongst my Walking colleagues, we decided that while we could do one or two of these things, sometimes quite well, the recovery time afterwards would make matches completely impractical.

big hunt for dog yesterday evening. Where could she be? Gate open? No.Check favourite spots in the garden, by the front gate, by the garage wall and greenhouse, beside the veggie bed? No! Ah but wait, she must be in the rhododendron patch where all our other old dogs went when they were really tired. So down to rhodies, wave torch around, call, tap dinner bowl. Whistle.
No dog!
Oh well, I'll go and sort out her bed to get it ready for when she does decide to come home.
