Hi Friends 👋

Judy Chung‘s solo show opens this Friday night . I won’t be able to make it back to New York in time due to some family matters, but the show is very much happening!

Judy will be there at the opening, along with Claire Kim , who wrote the exhibition essay—huge thanks to both of them. My friend and art advisor Kailin will also be there on my behalf—please say hi if you see her. Thanks as well to Kosuke for the beautiful installation, and to my wonderful interns Rebecca and Mandy , who I’ve been working with remotely to get everything ready.

This is Judy’s first solo exhibition with RAINRAIN, and also our first show of 2026. Hope you’ll join us for the opening this Friday—yes, even in the NYC cold 🤍

This edition of the Shanghai Biennial has a manuka honey brand as one of its sponsors — I think it’s really cute 🐝🍯

I really loved seeing the show. It’s beautiful, poetic, thoughtful, and so delicate. It invites the viewer to return to the essence of art, to look, to feel and to pay attention to those real, unedited, unfiltered moments of perception that we almost forget, or don’t really care about anymore.

Art doesn’t need to be loud to be impactful.

Somehow NYC has become the place I’ve stayed the longest away from home — maybe my second home now?!
Mixed feelings every time I leave and come back.
