The Beijing International Movie Festival (BIMF) is both the first and longest running comprehensive international film festival to be organised in Beijing. In December 2007, June 2008, March 2009, and again in June 2010, we hosted screenings at a number of conveniently located venues. The selected works are always ones never-before seen in Beijing- created by Chinese and foreign directors set to i
ntrigue and inspire audiences aplenty. Throughout the years, a number of other film festivals of various kinds have sprung up in our city, most notably and recently the Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF), sponsored and organised by the government here. Our working group naturally partnered with the BJIFF organising community to cooperate and arrange screenings of a number of films at various BJIFF events, which were a huge success. With the completion of the Beijing International Film Festival at the end of May, we are still tying off loose ends, as well continuing with our ongoing plans for the present BIMF event to be held in October, 2011
