陈坤的绘画不在于再现自然，而是以极简的线与色，开辟超越具象的感知场域。形与物的界限在其中消解，古典山水的意境化为游走的线条、悬浮的色彩，引领观者渐入“虚静”之境。
Chen Kun’s paintings do not reproduce nature; with the spareness of line and color, they open a field of perception beyond the visible. Boundaries between form and matter dissolve, as the spirit of classical landscapes turns into wandering lines and suspended hues, guiding the viewer toward a state of xu jing—emptiness and stillness.

“虚静”，乃老庄思想之核：虚以容物，静以养心。展览借山水之喻，使这一哲学在当代艺术中显影。
Xu jing is the heart of Daoist thought: to embrace all through emptiness, to nurture the mind through stillness. Through the metaphor of landscape, this exhibition lets the ancient philosophy emerge within contemporary art.

作品既与西方极简主义的纯粹呼应，又蕴含东方哲学的空灵。在简约中生出丰盈，于寂静处通向无形。
The works echo the purity of Western Minimalism while carrying the luminous wisdom of Chinese philosophy. From simplicity arises fullness; from silence, a path toward the unseen.

陈坤邀请观者进入无边的凝视：不是逃避现实的幻象，亦非符号的重造，而是感知整体的复归。在“虚静”的观照中，观看成为修习，世界重新被体悟。
Chen Kun invites the gaze into boundless quietude—not an escape from reality, nor a reconstruction of symbols, but a return to wholeness of perception. In the contemplation of xu jing, looking becomes practice, and the world is once again felt anew.

I was honored to offer a tour of contemporary Chinese art in the 798 Art District to a delegation of cultural entrepreneurs, BpiFrance and Business France, with the support of the French Embassy in Beijing and the sponsorship of the French Investment Bank.
