Ismaila's work today, originating at the foundry from his beloved
'African Collection'.

Shango, major deity of the religion of the Yoruba of southwestern Nigeria. He also figures in the religion of the Edo people of southeastern Nigeria, who refer to him as Esango, and in the religion of the Fon people of Benin, who call him Sogbo or Ebioso. Like all of the Yoruba gods (orishas), Shango is both a deified ancestor and a natural force, both aspects being associated with a cult and a priesthood.

Beautifully and artistically carved from African Beeswax and wrapped in African earth, coming to life as liquid bronze in the fires of one of Africa's best known bronze casters.
Traditional lost wax process, artisan hand sculptured with beeswax, clay and horse dung. Bronze Casting. Fired in a purpose built brick outdoor kiln with charcoal, and a hand made melting pot, the original traditional and ancient method.
From a well established 3rd generation foundry in Foumban, Cameroon Africa.
