Ismaila Putuenchi is a notable contemporary artist and skilled bronzecaster hailing from Foumban, Cameroon. He is part of the Bamoun ethnic group, known for its deep-rooted artistic heritage in northwestern Cameroon. After his father's death, he assumed the role of chief of his clan, embracing his responsibilities with dedication.

Here is a bronze sculpture of an Emperor scorpion (Pandinus imperator). Ismaila's unique version of this large Scorpion, made into an ashtray, using the traditional lost wax process.
