Supper morning great friends! Last time we talked about animal management and today,we are going to look at some common diseases of animals and their treatment.The following are some of the disease symptoms you might experience in your flocks: diarrhea,cough,loss of appetite,packing on, shivering,runny nose, etc. The causes of these symptoms of diseases might be bacteria infestation,worms in the intestines,viral breakout, poor sanitation, feeding with wrong diet etc. To treat these diseases, you should subsequently vaccinate your animals,deworm them,provide to them antibiotics and vitamins, improve on sanitation,provide to them balance diet and always disinfect the surrounding and control visitors.

Supper morning friends. There's always a reason behind every action someone displays.Always look for that reason. Last time we talked about feeding of animals and today we shall be talking about animal management. Animal management is the amount of care given to the animals to enable them grow healthy and resist diseases.Some of these cares involve; cleaning, vaccination, treatment of diseases, good infrastructures and equipment and a well balance diet.

Dear friends! I celebrate you all this morning.We have already made mention of animal feed ingredients and their functions. We will now forcus on feeding of fowls and pigs.With a well balance diet, animals are feed in the morning, afternoon and evening. Make sure you supply to them a good amount of fresh and clean water each time. Tomorrow we shall be looking at poultry and piggery management.

Concentrate in animal feed is popularly known as PMV ( protein, minérals and vitamins) helps to balance the diet with nutrients which could not be gotten from other sources.5) Wheat bran(fibre) aids in food digestion and absorption of water at the intestines.6) Bone meal (calcium ) aids in healthy and strong bones formation.7) Salt acts as fat emulsifier (reduce fat in the system of animals).

Last time we discussed about monogastric and polygastric animals and equally made mention of the various forms of feed ingredients. This evening we shall be looking at the functions of each of the basics feed ingredients.1) Maize (corn) falls under carbohydrate and is a source of energy in animal feed.2) Soybean cake, groundnut cake, kernel cake, fish meal are all sources of protein and fat and help in growth and development.

Hello dear group members! I celebrate you all this evening. To night we shall be talking about feeding of animals and the various kinds of feed ingredients . Basically, animals are classified into two groups based on their digestive systems : we have the polygastric ( ruminants or animals with two or more chambered stomachs) and the monogastric (animals with one chambered stomach or non-ruminants). Polygastric animals live only on grass e.g cattles,goats,sheep,horses etc while monogastric animals live both on animals and soft grass e.g pigs,fowls, man etc.So when feeding your animals first consider the type of animals so as not to make the mistake of feeding them with wrong stuff.Here I will only forcus but on fowls and pigs feed formulation. The following ingredients are used in feed formulation :corn, wheat bran, soybean cake, groundnut cake, kernel cake, concentrate, salt, and bone meal.Each ingredient has it own role to play. I will end here for today and tomorrow I will continue with the functions of each of the ingredients listed in the feed. Note should be taken that all the ingredients listed fall under the the six classes of food.
