David Guzmán asiste a Sheffield DocFest en representación de Santo Cielo Cine y Reverberancias Media con dos proyectos. El primero es "El silencio de los teléfonos", dirigido por Christian Sinclar y producido por David, un largometraje en desarrollo avanzado.

Además, el proyecto "Friends of Chile", dirigido y producido por Guzmán, con la co-producción de Miguel Yilales. En esta instancia, buscan co-productores en Norteamérica e Iberoamérica, así como posibilidades de financiamiento para continuar con las siguientes etapas de los documentales.

David Guzmán is attending Sheffield DocFest on behalf of Santo Cielo Cine and Reverberancias Media with two documentary projects.

The first is "The Silence of Telephones", directed by Christian Sinclair and produced by David Guzmán, a feature-length documentary currently in advanced development. He is also presenting "Friends of Chile", directed and produced by Guzmán, and co-produced by Miguel Yilales. At Sheffield, the team is seeking co-production partners in North America and Ibero-America, as well as financing opportunities to support the next stages of development and production for both documentaries.

Esteban Sandoval es productor en Pejeperrro Films y está en Sheffield DocFest en búsqueda de nuevas oportunidades, desde co-productores hasta financiamiento, para tres proyectos: "El arte de perder el tiempo", "Imagen revelada" y "El fantasma recobrado".

Esta carpeta de proyectos llega al área de industria de los festivales más importantes del continente, que cada junio recibe cientos de documentales de todo el mundo. Su participación le permitirá conectar con potenciales socios y profesionales de la industria internacional, fortaleciendo el camino de las películas hacia su estreno.

Esteban Sandoval is a producer at Pejeperro Films and is attending Sheffield DocFest in search of new opportunities, ranging from co-producers to financing, for three projects: "The Art of Wasting Time", "Image Unveiled", and "The Recovered Ghost".

This slate of projects arrives at the industry section of one of the world's leading documentary festivals, which every June welcomes hundreds of documentary projects from across the globe. His participation will allow him to connect with potential partners and international industry professionals, helping strengthen each film’s path toward completion and future premiere.

Daniel Castell y Marisa Toriello representan a Gran Montana en el MeetMarket de Sheffield DocFest con el proyecto "Isabel Allende: El documental". Esta obra, dirigida por River Finlay y producida por Julie Parker Benello, River Finlay, Jeff Zimbalist, Natalia de la Cuesta, José Isla, Felipe Isla y Daniel Castell, es una co-producción entre Chile y Estados unidos, y revisa la vida de una de las escritoras más destacadas. El proyecto además cuenta con la supervisión de montaje de Andrea Chignoli y la producción de terreno de Natalia de la Cuesta.

Sinopsis:
Exiliada tras el golpe de Estado de 1973, Isabel Allende transformó la pérdida personal y política en literatura. En la década de 1980, irrumpió en un mundo literario latinoamericano dominado por hombres, convirtiéndose en la autora en español más leída de la historia. Esta no es solo la historia de una leyenda literaria, sino también la de una sobreviviente que demuestra cómo el acto de contar historias puede ser, en sí mismo, un acto de amor y una herramienta de resistencia.

Synopsis:
Exiled after the 1973 coup, Isabel Allende transformed personal and political loss into literature. In the 1980s, she shattered Latin America’s male-dominated literary world, becoming the most widely read Spanish-language author in history. This is not only the story of a literary legend, but of a survivor who shows how storytelling itself can be an act of love and tool for resistance.

🗣 Conoce a Matías Bolla, director chileno-australiano del proyecto "El peso de la nieve", participando en el MeetMarket de Sheffield DocFest. El documental, producido por Carolina Sorensen (Australia) y Cristian Valle Celedón (Chile), fue seleccionado para la presentación de Rough Cut, donde además podrán mostrar un extracto de 15 minutos del proyecto.

Sinopsis:
En el extremo sur de la Patagonia chilena, puesteros viven solos en vastos campos, sosteniendo una forma de vida marcada por el sacrificio. Mientras la sequía avanza y sus cuerpos comienzan a fallar, deben decidir si adaptarse, irse, o quedar atrás de la única vida que han conocido.

Marialuisa Ernst es directora y productora del documental "El lugar de la ausencia", que estuvo participando esta semana en el Marché du Film, uno de los mercados cinematográficos más importantes del mundo. En esta instancia, busca agentes de ventas o distribuidores internacionales para darle mayor impulso a la película, que fue estrenada el año pasado en DOC NYC.

Sinopsis:
Documental lírico que sigue a madres centroamericanas en la búsqueda de sus hijos migrantes desaparecidos a través de México y Estados Unidos, contado desde la perspectiva de la cineasta como inmigrante cuyo tío desapareció durante la dictadura argentina.

Marialuisa Ernst is the director and producer of the documentary "A place of absence", which participated this week in the Marché du Film, one of the most important film markets in the world. Through this platform, she is seeking international sales agents and distributors to further expand the film’s reach following its premiere last year at DOC NYC.

Synopsis:
Lyrical, documentary following Central American mothers searching for their disappeared migrant children across Mexico and the U.S., told through the filmmaker’s perspective as an immigrant whose uncle disappeared during the Argentine dictatorship.

El proyecto "Artefactos de guerra", co-producción entre España, Chile y Colombia, participó en el Spain Showcase en Cannes Docs el domingo recién pasado. Este espacio del Marché du Film ofrece la oportunidad a que documentalistas puedan pitchear sus proyectos frente a destacados representantes de industria internacionales.

El documental es dirigido por Jorge Caballero, y producido por Anna Giralt y Diego Pino, con quienes conversamos sobre su participación y sus objetivos en este mercado.

The project "Artifacts of War", a co-production between Spain, Chile, and Colombia, took part in the Spain Showcase at Cannes Docs this past Sunday. This section of the Marché du Film offers documentary filmmakers the opportunity to pitch their projects in front of leading international industry representatives.

The documentary is directed by Jorge Caballero and produced by Anna Giralt and Diego Pino, with whom we spoke about their participation and their goals at this year’s market.
