Adding some colors step by step. Keep working on them!

For the mahogany I used C42 from Mr.Color, wich I added some drops of bright orange.

Moving forward with some colors after discovering that the supposed green color of the fuselage and wings is actually a mahogany color. I will have to make some preliminary mixtures and test them on plastic pieces before using them on the kit. As I progressed with the side red tone of the fuselage and the polished stainless steel of the engine fairing, which, while looking very bright, will have more opaque tones added to the different panels to make it look less uniform and more realistic.
The other tone that makes up the fuselage is the woodgrain texture behind and on the sides of the cabin, which I will achieve by applying the woodgrain decals sold by HGW. These decals require a white base and decalfix to fix them
More progress soon.

Sopwith Camel, Eduard 1/48
Some advances in the stencils of Sopwith Camel. I prefer to paint them before anything else so as not to have to apply a thick layer of white and to avoid that when removing the masking tape, some white color can be seen below the blue of the english blue cockade. Following this rule, I also painted the greyhound on the sides along with the light blue color, which was a mixture made by eye.
Also the propeller its done. I got this result by painting five layers of different wood colors, added some veins with a fine brush and then added a light layer of clear orange paint to simulate the wood varnish effect. I'm very happy with this result, but sad that I didn't took photos of the process that was only an experiment.

Applying a white base coat will enhance the brightness of many colors that this scheme provides.
I will use a Cricut Explore Air 2 to design and then cut the vinyl stencils to paint the insignias.

And the last photos that I took before closing the fuselage. Many technics applied for a tinny cockpit. Maybe a tip to consider is to use less red clear paint to "varnish" the wood of the instrument panel. It looks good for me but I think is a bit far from the original color seen in photos of this biplane

Projects on the workbench. The Sopwith Camel fuselage prepared for primer al the tinny 3D printed Spitfire ready for last layer of primer. All the sanding process gave me the time to design the stencils to paint all insignias. The Cricut Explore Air 2 does a good job even with little figures and letters.

Preliminary exhibition of all components of the "work in progress" of the Stuka.
Only the base is needed to finish this work so the main process of this project is done.
All inspiration was extracted by the restoration of an R-4 Stuka made by the that are rebuilding an extraordinary and unique piece of history.
