Time to be active on social media! As the start of a series of regular updates, take a gander at the core logos for each of the Legacy of Sorrow books and enjoy a mobile wallpaper!
For the month of November, Pathfinder Media Group and myself have made INCREDIBLE strides toward the new release for 2024 and making the series happen the way it deserves! Massive thanks to Jess over at PMG for her hard work throughout November! Below are updates to the current status of things and an outline of what’s to come. Stay Bloodthirsty!
Long story short, (if you don’t want to check out the 90-day plan below), I will be hitting an April 2nd global launch date regardless of personal cost. I’ve hired on additional assets and forged partnerships with incredibly passionate and skilled individuals to help accomplish a full release on this date, which will consist of the following:
LAUNCH WEEK (April 2nd-5th, 2024, 1pm EST)
• Full merchandise lineup
• Brand-new versions of Sorrow and Affliction *with heavy discount options or free copies (limited quantity available) for those who have already purchased previous novels*, available everywhere books are sold with a special focus for our friendly Kindle readers (you were neglected previously and that won’t happen again)
• Patreon memberships that provide FREE books, signature first editions, merch, and exclusives depending on membership tier, extending benefits all the way through the end of 2025 and into the next LoS series! (Wait, what? That can’t be financially viable…)
• Firm release dates for Desolation and Despair
• Completed Fandom Wiki
• Issue #1 of Legends of Sorrow comic book
• Estimated release dates for other 2024 projects (pending completion)
NOVEMBER:
- Preproduction made advances on physical designs for book spine logos and various social media/merchandise graphics
- Pathfinder Media Group was formally established with a Publishing Director (hi), Publishing Administrator, Editorial Chief, Media Director, and Art & Design department, all with a talented, motivated, and indie per diem staff to support small businesses and fresh talent (we’re not going corporate!)
- PMG established partnerships with FOUR incredibly talented artists that we’ll be featuring in January through the PMG page and LoS Fandom Wiki. Shout-out to on Insta and Nacho Córdova Ilustrador as well as Mici Studio for their hard work! You’ll see more of their skilled visual designs in the near future. (TG Visuals? Collab?)
- A contract is pending with an incredibly talented comic book artist to take on a new and exciting project, expanding the Legacy of Sorrow’s lore and story with small graphic novel releases between each main book launch (more details to come!)
- A “two steps back, one step forward” approach was needed on pre-print efforts, but rinsing the series for final edits is finished and will be headed for formatting in the coming days
DECEMBER
- All book covers and interior design/formatting will be completed and prepped for printing, potentially working to have every release on Kindle Unlimited: making the LoS novels FREE for those subscribed!
- Graphic design for peripheral projects (social media, web design, merchandise, Fandom Wiki efforts) will hit their final milestones before going to their preproduction stages in January
- Testing, Reviews, and Beta Reads will take place with established parties (some may surprise you) and a select number of longtime fans
JANUARY
- Test copies will be printed and in-hand to review quality, value, and a price point that benefits my readers’ budget (not my own pockets) before final decisions on printing and vendors are made.
- I will be publicly posting the print cost and fee schedule per book to have transparency over the money I make per copy sold
- Social media accounts will all be completely live (Insta, TikTok, Twitter/X), to include a BookTok and some…surprise advertisements (who said anything about a cinematic trailer being created for a February reveal?)
- Final merch designs will be approved and tested; anything not meeting my standards for quality or value will not be made available
- Website (hopefully) will be finished
That’s all for now, folks! Follow The Legacy of Sorrow and Media Group for our regular updates. We’ll be posting biweekly until closer to March, and then…well, things will get a little wild.
Stay bloodthirsty!
