It is not about "the greatest of all time". That's just bu****it. The wrong approach. But it is about Michaela's sadness missing her father Jeff, a physician who died still young some years ago. He was earlier himself a ski racer on the East Coast in the team of Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, where also my father learned to ski from where I got his Ski skills DNA too. So Jeff was her coach from the very beginning. But he could not anymore be there while her greatest success. 100 World Cup Victories! She's doing all her efforts still for him like a gift back to him what he all has done for her skiing since she started as a little girl in the hills of Vail in Colorado. To ski. to race, to train every free time she could instead of playing like all other girls of her age, her peer group at school. So her tears are her gift back to him! A silent moment of company with her father, gone for ever, in the middle of the crowd. The crowd is crying "the greatest", ignoring what does it mean, what was her long journey to get there, to get on the very top! It is all her lifetime til' this moment.
