Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich

Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich We are the . Classical music is our passion, and has been since 1868.

Paavo Järvi invites you to vote for the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich to win Gramophone’s Orchestra of the Year! This is a very special award because it is decided by you, the public. Gramophone highlights Paavo’s “ability to inspire orchestras to the highest level of musicianship” and the orchestra’s “impressive Mahler symphonies” series. According to reviewer Edward Seckerson their recording of Mahler 1 is “one of the best – perhaps even the best…”

We are so happy to announce that we have been shortlisted for „Orchestra of the Year“ by the renowned British classical music magazine Gramophone ! 🎉
This Gramophone Classical Music Award is decided entirely by public vote, and we’d be incredibly grateful for every single one!

Thank you to Gramophone for the kind words on our Mahler 1 recording: „I believe this is one of the finest – perhaps the finest – recording of Mahler’s youthful First Symphony I have heard on CD since the famous Bernstein/Concertgebouw version... Heartily recommended.“

If you’ve enjoyed our music, we’d be delighted to have your support and your vote to help make the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich Orchestra of the Year 2026. The link for voting is in our bio 😍💗🔗
