Dieses Gesprächsexperiment der Zürcher Künstlerin Fatima Moumouni will einen «Safer Space für Unsicherheit» schaffen, in dem das «Ähm …» nicht abtrainiert, sondern dezidiert gesucht wird. Zu Gast in der dritten Ausgabe ist die Tanz- und Theaterschaffende Donya Speaks. Zusammen widmen sie sich dem Thema «Zwischen Positionierung und Polarisierung».

Verzweiflung, Wut, Tatendrang, Bekennungsdruck und Cancelangst.
Moumouni und Speaks sprechen darüber, was es bedeutet, als
Kunstschaffende verantwortungsvoll mit gesellschaftlicher Abstumpfung,
Krisen und Gewalt umzugehen. Ein Gespräch über künstlerische
Ansprüche, Aktivismus und Mechanismen der Selbstzensur.

This conversation experiment by Zurich-based artist Fatima Moumouni aims to create a ‚safer space for uncertainty‘ — a space where the ‚um...‘ is not trained away, but actively sought out. Guest of the third edition is dancer and theatre-maker Donya Speaks. Together, they will explore the topic ‚Between Taking a Stand and Polarization.‘

Two and a half years of a genocide in Gaza being live-streamed to the world. Grief, despair, anger, the urge to act, pressure to declare one’s position, and fear of being cancelled. Moumouni and Speaks discuss what it means, as artists, to respond responsibly to societal desensitization, crises, and violence. A conversation about artistic responsibility, activism, and the mechanisms of self-censorship.

Two and a half years of live-streamed genocide in Gaza. What does that do to us? Moumouni and Speaks discuss what it means to let one's own political and personal positioning inform artistic practice. They reflect on mechanisms of self-censorship, withdrawal, and defensiveness, as well as on activism caught between pressures to publicly declare one's stance and the risk of being cancelled.

With this audio flyer, we warmly invite you to the audio description and tactile guidance session for the performance ‘Mutterzungen’ (Mother Tongues) by Rebekka Bangerter, in collaboration with Asa Hendry, Solange P. Molu and Felicia Touvenot.

The performance takes place on Thursday 11 June, Saturday 13 June, Monday 15 June and Tuesday 16 June at 8 pm. A touch tour with Lenthe Basant will take place at 7.40 pm before each performance. Meeting point: Access Infopoint at Stall6.

Im Jahresprojekt des LAB Junges Theater Zürich haben sich die Spieler*innen von ihren Lieblingsstücken erzählt, Texte zu den Blicken der Anderen geschrieben, sich zusammen in eine Hose gezwängt und die Perspektive eines Unterhemds eingenommen.

Entstanden ist eine persönliche, lustvolle, manchmal witzige und manchmal traurige Show über die Uniformen unseres Alltags – mit einem eventuell zuversichtlichen Ende im Schatten der Kleiderberge.

As part of LAB Junges Theater Zürich’s annual project, the performers talked about their favourite plays, wrote texts about how others see them, squeezed themselves into a pair of trousers together, and adopted the perspective of an undershirt.

The result is a personal, exuberant, sometimes funny and sometimes sad show about the uniforms of our everyday lives – with a potentially hopeful ending in the shadow of mountains of clothes.

Was macht Sprache lebendig und wo beginnt Verstehen? Das Stück «Mutterzungen» entsteht im fliessenden Wechsel zwischen verschiedenen Sprachen, Übersetzungen und Unübersetzbarem und eröffnet einen intimen Raum, in dem Sprache als Klang, Erinnerung und Widerstand erfahrbar wird.

Am 11.06. feiert die Arbeit von Rebekka Bangerter in Kollaboration mit Asa Hendry, Solange P. Molu und Felicia Touvenot Premiere.

Zu Gast in dieser Ausgabe: Moderatorin, Schauspielerin und Performerin Kübra Sekin.
Sie arbeitet aus einer behinderten, q***ren und migrantischen Perspektive und setzt sich für die Teilhabe und Sichtbarkeit von Menschen mit Behinderungen ein.

Gemeinsam wagen sich Moumouni und Sekin ins unsichere Terrain der Liebe und denken laut über Fragen nach wie: Gibt es die wahre Liebe? Was richtet das Konzept romantischer Liebe an – und für wen? 

Und weil es letztes Mal so schön war, findet im Anschluss wieder eine Party mit kurzem Comedy-Set und Karaoke statt — dieses Mal mit Crip-Performance-Künstler*in Edwin Ramirez.

Our guest in this episode: presenter, actress and performer Kübra Sekin.
She works from a disabled, q***r and migrant perspective and campaigns for the inclusion and visibility of people with disabilities.

Together, Moumouni and Sekin venture into the uncertain terrain of love and ponder questions such as: Does true love exist? What does the concept of romantic love achieve – and for whom?

And because it was so much fun last time, there’ll be a party afterwards with a short comedy set and karaoke — this time featuring crip performance artist Edwin Ramirez.
