OUT OF THE PICTURE + Q&A
Women have contributed to architecture for centuries, bringing creativity, knowledge and new perspectives to the built environment. Yet their work has not always received the recognition it deserves.
🎥 Out of the Picture explores the stories of women architects, the challenges they have faced and their contributions to the profession. The film invites us to reflect on visibility, recognition and the importance of a more diverse architectural history.
💬 Stay for the Q&A and join us for a conversation about women in architecture and the stories that shape our understanding of the profession.

🎬 First films from our programme: MOUNTAIN TIME – Alpine Architecture in Ten Stories

What does it mean to live in the Alps today, and how can architecture respond to the changing realities of mountain communities?

In Mountain Time, directors Francesca Molteni and Davide Fois take us on a journey through ten stories of contemporary Alpine architecture. Exploring the relationship between buildings, landscapes and everyday life, the film reveals how architecture can preserve local identity while responding to social and environmental change.

Beyond the buildings themselves, it offers a closer look at the people, places and ideas shaping the future of life in the mountains.

💬 The screening will be followed by a Q&A and discussion on Alpine architecture, the relationship between built environments and landscapes, and the future of mountain communities.

ARCH Market Lucerne – April 19

We’re excited to introduce one of this year’s participants:
Torsten Skoetz Torsten Skoetz
Hybrid Architectures | AI-generated

Where does architecture begin—and where does it dissolve?
Torsten Skoetz explores spaces in between:
between biology, culture, and technology.
Inspired by corals, fluid systems, and hybrid organisms, his work moves beyond traditional forms—towards organic, modular, ever-changing structures.
Layering cultural influences from different regions, he creates new spatial languages that challenge fixed identities and imagine cities as dynamic, evolving systems.

✨ At the ARCH Market, he presents a selection of his latest works.
