Hi everyone,

We are working on the Thumbnail for the first episode of our vlog in which we will try to prove that becoming artists of contemporary art can also be an artistic project. So this is a work in progress, all tips are welcome!

ARTWORK FOR SALE

This is the final stage of the painting we produced in Zurich for a.k.a. probably the smallest gallery in the world. We placed this concluding object of a project titled ‘The Public’s Content Bureau’ in a minimalistic interior so that you can imagine how this piece of hand painted zeitgeist would fit in your home, office or gallery.

We have, yes indeed, the ambition to sell this artwork in order to find an answer in our search for a financial balance that may be somewhere between obtaining public funds and accumulating our own. At least this is what a reputable artist friend told us and so it is from them that we can learn since they are in the industry.

What we tried to convey with this extended rational reflection, to preserve our artistic subjective freedom, is that the rationalisation of it all serves primarily to preserve the subjective freedoms that we as human beings need for honest and sincere artistic research. In the previous sentence, the point may have been repeated, but to put it simply, the function of dealing with financial matters in a rational way is to preserve our emotions and the sense of privilege that comes with feeling them on a metaphysical level. However, it can also lead to the opposite, so it will be searching for a balance.

‘THE PUBLIC’S CONTENT BUREAU’ - CLOSING NIGHT
Friday 8th September > 19:00
- Seebahnstrasse 109, 8003 Zürich

After roaming the streets, collecting messages from people we encountered as part of our decentralised mission to counter exclusive imagery in public space by hiding punchlines in a painting, we're thrilled to finally present the result of something that looks like a painting.

‘The Public's Content Bureau’ will unveil its final punchline on Friday, September 8, and celebrate its closing! We would like hereby to invite you for a gathering where we will talk politics as this artwork is indeed an alibi to impact the world with projects that have the capacity to freestyle.

There will be free food.
The painting is for sale.
It is our first painting but we have a strong concept.
We would like to thank and from BosqueRreal, already, even if using this invitation to thank them may be to soon, but whatever.

See you on Friday!

We run a campaign center from the sidewalk next to a busy street. We're in public space so we don't have to pay rent, but that's not the main reason we're here.

We are here because we initiate random encounters as the main source of our days, we ask them to shape our thoughts. We are here because with rain on our keyboards we learn to play differently with different words.

By shaping punchlines this way, we cling the desire to decentralise the source of the public message and rely on chance as an opportunity to share.

People just behave according to their lives and that seems uncomfortable at times, even if they try very hard to hide it from others, including themselves. External desires often become internal goals too quickly and the way we perceive what we are trying to understand is objectified as a way to deal with our subjective condition.

Some of us still cry.

The exercise of finding balance is training the ability to let emotions happen. Not by baking tear-dough on the burning asphalt of a speedy highway, but by following the small path that leads into the forest. Make taking time part of you time commitment and hang out with your difficulties while collecting all nuts that occupy exactly all the random spots under a specific trees and embrace the collateral fluids on the surface of your face.

A course in self-confidence would be a appropriate school activity. The aspiration of the education system to adhere to standardised paths in a world characterised by a constant changeability seems to be inaccurate. Handling criticism and recognising one's own self-worth are two aspects that traditional education fails to master. It is imperative to assign significance to deviation that holds the ability to practice constructive context-dependent questioning.

This Feedback on the socially framed pedagogical policy is to briefly state the value of what is not perceived an evidence and our way to demonstrate the beneficial effects of devotion toward the unpredictable outcome. Or how playing and acting a blow-up version of yourself can assist the tightrope-balance between figuring out and taking a stance.

Message of the day: place contradictions in a room and document what some will label as a conflict and others will recognise as the marvel known as diversity. These writings are merely thoughts, so stay calm as you analyse what we are exploring here.

Leefwerk forever.

TIRANA - ATHENS

We are back from our break, and before we talk about our next project in Zurich, from August 21 to September 8, where we will set up a campaign office on the sidewalk in front of a gallery producing campaigns that emerge from the needs of spontaneous encounters and that go against the trend of centralised & exclusive capitalist image-making in public space that seems to focus exclusively on the public eye in a consumers logic, we will first finish the presentation of our selected documentation of the previous project, still untitled "Artists On Tour”.

So if we follow the chronological logic, you can now see the images of our show in Tirana and in Athens.

The person who invited us in Tirana was talking to someone throughout the whole show, probably not realising it had started and was hugely distracting us from playing our own characters. It may feel like we are discrediting the individual reported, but as the person is not on socials, we did not mention their name, and above all we do not have many followers since we are navigating inside a small and niche art world, it feels right regarding the mental process that does not stop from happening. It is as well, fair to mention that we had a lack of sleep the night before leaving Pristina, a city that could just be that cherry on top of the world’s pie. So maybe we were just grumpy and could not handle tricky situations. Yeah, that’s most probably it…

In Athens, we played the best show of the tour, maybe because we both lived there for 3 years and our audience’s expectation created concern and pressured us to deliver. According to that a fierce argument about the different colours of grapes and of the way they were mischievously placed on the plates caused a discussion about time management, knowing that there was no time to rehearse properly built a fruitful base of tension. After lots of yelling, 5 minutes before the start of the show, we thus went for it, which also explains our intense reconciling hug at the end of the show.

Emotions are very intense at times but with the right attitude and necessary distance, it seems to have been the best thing that happened to us as a duo.

We are going out for a break, feel free to do something else as well. In fact, we will be absent from this platform for approximatively 10 days, but in order to come back stronger and, of course, to further inform you of our plans regarding the future and more specifically the visualisation of the past.

So, to temporarily conclude, we opted for an image that is a bit out of context and puts all the intellectual seriousness of the past period in its place for a moment.

The first image is a government photographer who took a picture of our artistic project at a red light where we were momentarily confused because it was not clear whether we were driving in the right lane, fortunately we did not get a fine for this. But so a very nice black and white picture has been send to us of this casual driving moment for which the photographer then, we thought, was asking a considerable amount of money. But ok it was nice to have one of those as we couldn't take a picture while driving (as we where driving) !

On the second photo Roman with a giant croissant at a petrol station in Zurich.
