A final look back at 🟪🟧🟥
Over three inspiring days, Zurich Art Weekend once again brought together artists, galleries, institutions, partners, collectors, and visitors from Zurich and around the world. Throughout the weekend, Zurich became a vibrant meeting point for contemporary art, making this edition such a vibrant and memorable experience.
Day 3 brought the weekend to a beautiful close, with a wonderful atmosphere across the city and a final day full of exhibitions, encounters, and shared moments. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to making the closing day such a fitting end to the weekend.

Have a look inside Katja Schenker’s studio in Zurich, where she offers a glimpse into her performative process, her current exhibition at , as well as her artwork featured in the Julius Baer Art Collection.

Katja Schenker focuses her artistic practice on live performances, drawings, sculptures and installations. Her works usually capture the spatial and temporal dimensions of physical actions. Schenker uses this corporeal activity to explore the limits of the body and investigate both the space she occupies and the space she creates. Objects or materials such as concrete, textiles or pigments are transformed into new states of being through pressure, friction or movement.

On view during : 'Katja Schenker. Caryatids Go for a Swim’ at , solo exhibition including large scale oil pastel drawings created through bodily imprints and performative gestures. The exhibition runs until 6 September 2026.

This series of artist interviews and studio visits is an initiative by and its lead partner , celebrating Zurich's vibrant art scene and highlighting the .

Galerie & Edition Stephan Witschi presents „Erasure“ by Fazal Sheikh

Location: Galerie & Edition Stephan Witschi, Limmatstrasse 214, 8005 Zürich

From his first visit to Israel and the West Bank in late 2010, Fazal Sheikh came to believe that any effort to understand the region had to confront the Arab–Israeli War of 1948. In his words, “the war and its aftermath led to the depopulation of more than 450 Palestinian towns and villages and the flight of an estimated 700,000 Palestinians to neighboring countries, refugee camps, and areas under Israeli military rule. It was, in effect, the dissolution of Palestinian society, and has left a wound that has never healed.”
That the wound has never healed means that the violence, trauma, and ruin that were the signature of the war do not only belong to the past. They cannot even be said to be restricted to any single population or any one side of the conflict. ...
