UPDATE

Due to the super high Covid case rate we feel it’s not the right time to continue our program following the exhibition Pneuma in the original format.

An important part of the program was to gather as a community in the exhibition space to be together, think together, speak together, feel together. As this is not possible at this time we will meet and discuss soon about other possibilities to realize this program, either online or later in time.

We will inform you shortly about our new ideas and dates.

Even though the Museums in Zurich stay open and you could / should still go and see the amazing exhibition Pneuma by Christian Fogarolli (till Nov. 12), we decided to have the dis- order Reading Group today (29.10. at 6pm) as an online event.

Yael is working in her office job with high risk patients and doesn't want to risk any exposure. She'll be opening the Reading Group on zoom from within her own home. We'll post the zoom link shortly. As well as a Link to get the PDF.

The images of the exhbition will be posted shortly on the website of dis- order. So you have the possibility to see the documentation of the exhibition online, that was ment to be the backdrop and context to the (Reading Group) programme.

Hope to see you online! We are super excited to read this amazing text also in the context of this Covid-19 pandemic that we are all touched by in one way or another and that is fueled with insecurities and paranoia. Can't wait to hear your thoughts and questions.

We are very happy to invite you to our first dis- order Reading Group, where we read together Eve Sedgwick: Paranoid Reading and Reparative Reading, or, you’re so paranoid, you probably think this essay is about you.

You don't need to prepare anything. We will just read together and stop and discuss, wherever is a need for it by the group.

We meet irl at Objekt A, .zurich in the exhibition Pneuma.

We will keep this Reading Group within the current Covid-19 regulations: Hand Sanitizer is provided in front of the exhibition space, there will be enough space between the seats and wearing masks is mandatory. (We will review the regulations after Wednesdays official Covid-19 Media Conference.)

Also we'll offer a link via Zoom to join us online.

This Reading Group is Part of the Mental Health Day programme that goes along with the exhbition Pneuma by Christian Fogarolli at Objekt A, Löwenbräukunst, Zürich, to activate the exhibition space Objekt A and put the exhibition Pneuma in dialogue with another experience of Mental Health.

Loulou by Nathan Hofstetter

When a person loses control over thinking and feeling, when perception becomes distorted, one speaks of par- anoid schizophrenia, a mental illness from which Nathan Hofstetter also suffered. The filmmaker from Neuchâ- tel decided to film his surroundings, his circle of relatives and friends, his girlfriend. His first long documentary Loulou does not depict an illness, but people who keep Nathan busy, reflect his world and help him find his way back to reality. An exciting journey.

Nathan was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. Now he’s better, before he was much worse. He films himself, his relatives at the hospital, his bipolar best friend, his father, his sister, his mother and his love between 2011 and 2018. For him, everyone is a “loulou”, in his own way. It is thanks to them that he finally begins to become a man instead of a madman.

As part of the public programme of the exhibition Pneuma, we organise a Film Night.
Through the story of the film director Nathan Hofstetter, we will take a journey in the reality of paranoid schizophrenia, a mental illness from which he suffered.

We've taken the liberty to change the Kaula Ta**ra Yoga Session on the 1.11. into an MBSR based Awareness Meditation that can be joined at Objekt A | Löwenbräukunst wearing a mask and enough space between the visitors. It will be a sitting meditation on a provided, sanitized chair. The online link to join this Meditation will be communicated shortly before via our website: www.dis-order.info and in the dedicated facebook event. Being aware of the rising Covid-19 number, we offer to join all our updated programme online – for those in quarantine, high risk patients, far away and/or not able to join out of precaution.

In House there is hand sanitizer, wearing a mask is mandatory.
For our Events: due to current Covid-19 regulations by the government you'll have to sign in with you personal information at your arrival. We take keeping everyone safe very serious. A feeling of safety is vital for a balanced Mental Health.
