Malala Andrialavidrazana's exhibition "Figures" at the Palais de Tokyo is a profound exploration of modernity through the art of collage. By juxtaposing various historical artifacts such as maps, banknotes, and postage stamps, she confronts the complexities and contradictions inherent in our contemporary world. Her work not only reflects on the exploitation of resources, but also serves as a counter-narrative to dominant ideologies.

The expansive nature of her installation, nearly sixty meters long, allows viewers to engage deeply with a visual history, inviting them to consider the global movements and histories encoded within these images.

The inclusion of digital touch screensl enrich the viewer's experience, making the stories behind the artwork more accessible and engaging. You can click on different points and discover the original artifacts.
