Today I feel like introducing my favourite tool to challenge reality and some parts of my facettes with these (self-) portraits and Making Of‘s.
Hi - this is Maximiliane Wittek. Currently in Allgäu / Berlin based photographer, creatrix, artivist and lecturer born in May 1991.
With her favourite analog filter the communication designer cracks open reality and plays with life‘s integral dimensions.
The english (interior) design style maximalism inspired the artist to translate it maximes into photo/ graphic design. The iridescent plexiglas came to the multimedia creative as a special unique gift from a beloved one she was traveling with a lot. 🤍
The use of this filter provides a solid foundation for surreal and magical-mystical imagery through color, refraction and angle. With inherent dimensional perspectives, the plexiglass pane creates a strange mixture of viewing angles that lead to irritation and prolonged viewing; the color gradients and maximum brilliance create illusions, can distort reality and create vivid color impressions.
Maxis photo designs have a tendency for vibrating colors, bold designs and social taboo topics. The rainbowlover is passionate about the alchemie power of the feminine / YIN, socio cultural transformation, by nature’s spirit, life’s mystery, the expansion of humanities evolution and the depths of subconsciouss.
Different cultures and metropolises she has lived in so far (London, Istanbul, Berlin) have had impact her (inner) colour palette.
