Will show timely and fresh art works in a 20 by 20 cm format from famous and aspiring artists, lay painters and students. The more paintings the better! All donated art works will be available for purchase for 20 francs. The money will be used to support the work of ARTHELP. Our desire is to make Art accessible and affordable for everyone. Our concept
Gallery 20x20 shows quality art, makes original art accessible and affordable, and uses art to make our world a better place. Making quality art
The art in our gallery will be shown without revealing the artists name. Therefore the art piece becomes significant only because the viewer can enter into a dialogue with it and not because there is a name attached with it. We want to show our visitors a well-balanced exhibition, where pieces or professionals and semiprofessionals and students are presented side by side on equal footing. Outstanding works by participating artists shall be honored by two different awards, given by a panel of art experts as well as the visitors of our gallery. As we live in a time when everything everywhere can be easily reproduced, we aim to give back value to original creation. The gallery seeks to honor distinctive, individual, and original work as a result of a personal creative process which everyone can afford. All exhibited works are for sale and are sold to the first bidder for the fixed uniform price of 20 Swiss Francs. Names of artist and titles of their work will only be revealed after the end of the exhibition. Making the world a better place by using art
Gallery 20x20 is a place to acquire art, meet people, to communicate and to network. The proceeds from the sale of art goes entirely to an exceptional non-profit organization committed to the advancement of the arts and having a reputation of financial transparency. This year’s proceeds will be given to ARTHELPS and will fund a project to support underprivileged people discover and develop their artistic potential by providing them a platform where they can express themselves. www.arthelps.ch

Rules and requirements for Art work submission
1. The art piece should measure 20 x 20 cm, depth max. 6cm, weight max. 400g. Smaller art pieces have to be mounted to a board with the measurements 20x20.
2. The artist is free to choose the type of the medium for the art work. Contributions in 2D as well or in 3D are welcome.
3. The gallery will make sure to hang each art piece with proper care. For heavier pieces we will use our nylon string and metal hook system (picture 1) and would therefore kindly ask the artist to mount the prober attachment (picture 2) on the back of the art piece. picture 1 The gallery uses a track system with nlyon strings and hooks to hang art
works for display. picture 2 Submitted work which can’t be attached with pins should use the
appropriate mounting bracket as pictured left.
4. Artists are welcome to make up to 6 entries for submission.
5. Works of art should be signed on the back side as described in the entry form. Please do not sign the front of your work! Artists will remain anonymous until the end of the show.
6. Every Artist will be able indicate on our entry form if they wish their name to be displayed in our flyer and website.
7. We are open to works of anybody and everybody, who would like to contribute to the gallery. We do encourage groups like art classes to use an internal jury to select a number of their best pieces to be send to the gallery.
8. Submitted art work should be arrive at our head office before the 1st of October. Address: Gallery 20x20, c/o Stiftung SalZH, Zeughausstrasse 54, 8400 Winterthur, Switzerland.
9. All exhibited works are for sale and are sold to the first bidder in the gallery or online for the uniform fixed price of 20 Swiss Francs.
10. Duration of exhibition and location: Saturday the 1st of November through Friday evening on the 7th of November at Trollstrasse 34a, 8400 Winterthur, Switzerland.
11. Art work will be displayed and sold on our gallery website at www.galerie20mal20.ch
12. Pick up of purchased work: Purchased art work may be picked up on Saturday the 8th of November between 10-12 AM and also the following week daily between 4-5 PM. If these times are not suitable it is possible to make other pick up arrangements with advance approval from the gallery. If the purchaser so desires the gallery can mail purchased art work to the buyer’s home for an additional charge of CHF 20. Unclaimed pieces become the property of the gallery to be be sold online during the year.
13. The leading committee reserves the right to return art pieces to the artist in the event that submitted work does not align with the values or desires of the gallery.
14. By submitting art work for exhibition the artist agrees that your name and email will be forwarded to the buyer of your art work.
