Alyona Hrekova (sie/ihr) Alyona Hrekova *Basel, 2001
> Alyona Hrekova is an artist from Kyiv, Ukraine, currently based in Basel, Switzerland. Working through installation and performance, she creates environments that combine sculpture, sound, drawing, moving image, and interactive elements. Her practice explores how political, emotional, and technological systems shape perception and experience. Speculative fiction functions in her work as a way of thinking alongside lived reality, opening spaces in which psychological and political conditions can be approached indirectly. Her works often unfold around thresholds, where different realities, temporalities, and systems of meaning overlap.
> Erlebe die Werke von Alyona live an der 20. Jungkunst 2026. 22.-25. Oktober, Winterthur Neuhegi.
