Two more katazome-shi designs in my shop. Hand-stencilled on handmade mulberry fiber paper that is soft and matte, almost like fabric, but strong enough for bookbinding and box-covering and any other project that needs lasting resistance to scuffing and light. Once my katazome-shi stock has gone, that‘s it - there won’t be any more, because the last big artisan maker in Japan died last year and his studio has closed. A sad loss to Japanese cultural heritage.
