CRISTINA GALBIATI & ILIJA LUGINBÜHL

[EN] Cristina Galbiati and Ilija Luginbühl are the founders of the artistic project Trickster-p and have been at the heart of its creative work ever since.

As time went on, their focus has shifted from a more narrow definition of theatre to include expressions that transgress genre boundaries, both conceptually and formally resulting from the mixture of extremely heterogeneous artistic media. Cristina Galbiati and Ilija Luginbühl’s poetics is an invitation for the spectators to open up their perceptive space and create their own reality on the boundaries between inner vision and outer sight.

Among their works there are performances and installations which have been translated into many languages and have been presented in more than 30 Countries in Europe, Asia, Australia, North and South America. Along with the artistic work, Trickster channeled its experimental vocation by creating 𝘊𝘢𝘴𝘢 𝘥𝘦𝘭 𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰, a space of creation and experimentation in the village of Novazzano, few kilometers away from the Italian-Swiss border.

[IT] Cristina Galbiati e Ilija Luginbühl sono fondatori e anime del progetto artistico Trickster-p.

Nel corso degli anni la loro pratica artistica si è allontanato dal concetto di teatro in senso stretto per indagare possibili segni espressivi trasversali che, tanto concettualmente quanto formalmente, siano il risultato della commistione di strumenti artistici estremamente eterogenei. La loro poetica è un invito ad aprire i propri spazi percettivi e a creare la propria realtà in un territorio di frontiera tra la visione interiore e la visione esteriore.

Fra le loro opere più significative vi sono performance e installazioni tradotte in numerose lingue e presentate in oltre 30 Paesi in Europa, Asia, Australia, America del nord e America del sud. Oltre che nei lavori artistici, la vocazione sperimentale del progetto Trickster-p si è concretizzata nella creazione de la 𝘊𝘢𝘴𝘢 𝘥𝘦𝘭 𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰, spazio di creazione e sperimentazione situato nel borgo di Novazzano, a pochi chilometri dal confine italo-svizzero.

SIBYLLE MUMENTHALER

[EN] Sibylle Mumenthaler is a freelance actress, vocal performer and communication trainer in a higher education context. For several years she has worked in the independent theatre scene, developing her own projects and collaborating with different artists and theatre groups. Alongside this, she lends her voice to radio plays, audio walks and other audio formats that place sound at the center.

She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Art, majoring in Art in Public Spheres, at Hochschule Luzern – Design Film Kunst. Her artistic research focuses on deceleration, resonance and perception, exploring the interplay between inner experience and landscape through a range of artistic practices, with a particular focus on audio recordings and field recording. For Trickster-p she gave voice to 𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘬.


Common land_𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 (German version)

[IT] È attrice freelance, performer vocale e formatrice in ambito comunicativo in contesti universitari. Da diversi anni, lavora nell’ambito del teatro indipendente, dove realizza progetti propri e collaborazioni con diversə artistə e compagnie; parallelamente presta la propria voce a radiodrammi, audiowalk e altri formati che mettono al centro la materia sonora.

Attualmente frequenta il Master in Arte, indirizzo 𝘈𝘳𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘗𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘚𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘴, presso la Hochschule Luzern – Design Film Kunst. La sua ricerca artistica si concentra sui temi della decelerazione, della risonanza e della percezione esplorando le interazioni tra l’esperienza interiore e il paesaggio attraverso diversi linguaggi, tra i quali predilige registrazioni audio e fonografia. Per Trickster-p ha dato voce alla passeggiata sonora 𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘬.

MAURO DANESI

[EN] Mauro Danesi is a producer and curator of artistic projects. After graduating in Psychological Sciences and Techniques of Interpersonal Relations and Social Organizations at the University of Bergamo, he first trained as a physical theatre actor at Teatro Tascabile di Bergamo, where he worked permanently until 2016.

In 2013, he founded and began curating the international multidisciplinary festival ORLANDO (Bergamo), which he directed until 2023, with a keen interest in q***r perspectives and the potential for social impact of culture. From 2019 to 2026 he worked as a freelance creative producer for the dance company Silvia Gribaudi Performing Arts, managing promotion, counselling and development. Since 2022 he is in charge of the distribution of Trickster-p’s artistic projects.


Common land_𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

[IT] Laureato in Scienze e Tecniche psicologiche delle relazioni interpersonali e delle organizzazioni sociali alla facoltà di Bergamo, si forma inizialmente come attore di teatro fisico presso il Teatro Tascabile di Bergamo, dove lavora stabilmente fino al 2016.

Nel 2013 è fondatore e curatore del Festival multidisciplinare internazionale ORLANDO (Bergamo) che dirige fino al 2023 interessandosi alle prospettive q***r e alle potenzialità di impatto sociale della cultura. Dal 2019 al 2026 ha lavorato come creative producer freelance per la compagnia di danza Silvia Gribaudi Performing Arts, occupandosi di promozione, consulenza e sviluppo. Dal 2022 cura la diffusione dei progetti artistici di Trickster-p.

STUDIO CCRZ

[EN] Studio CCRZ is a visual communication studio founded in 2007 by Eugenio Castiglioni, Paolo Cavalli and Marco Zürcher. Today, it brings together around ten professionals. They work across the fields of art direction, graphic design, architecture and communications strategy. Steer clear of trends and formalism, their approach prioritizes the dialogue between content, context and language. CCRZ collaborates with companies, institutions, foundations and cultural organizations, whilst continuing to develop independent projects as a space for research and experimentation.

Since 2007, it takes care of the visual identity and graphic concept of Trickster-p, with whom it has also been collaborating since 2022 as a design consultant.

[IT] CCRZ è uno studio di comunicazione nato nel 2007 dall’incontro dei percorsi creativi di Eugenio Castiglioni, Paolo Cavalli e Marco Zürcher. Opera tra direzione artistica, grafica, architettura e strategie di comunicazione. Lontano da mode e formalismi, il suo approccio privilegia il dialogo tra contenuto, contesto e linguaggio. Oggi lo studio riunisce una decina di professionistə e collabora con aziende, enti pubblici, fondazioni e istituzioni culturali, pur continuando a sviluppare progetti indipendenti come spazio di ricerca e sperimentazione.

Dal 2007, cura l’immagine e il concept grafico di Trickster-p, con cui, dal 2022, collabora anche come consulente agli allestimenti.

LARA PERSIA

[EN] Originally from Ticino, she developed an interest in the world of music while still a child, studying piano, classical guitar, flute and, more recently, electric bass. After graduating as a recording engineer at Media Production Ltd in London, she returned to Switzerland where she began working as a sound technician at RSI – Swiss Radio and Television, gaining a variety of experience in speech editing, music recording and radio theatre.

In 2007, in parallel with her work at RSI, she founded the Lemura Recording Studio in Montagnola (Lugano). For several years, she has also been working with the world association AES – Audio Engineering Society as an expert on the committee at the federal sound engineer exams in Bern.

Lara Persia has taken care of editing and mastering the sound spaces of almost all the projects of Trickster-p.

[IT] Originaria di Locarno, ha cominciato ad interessarsi al mondo musicale fin da bambina studiando pianoforte, chitarra classica, flauto e, in tempi più recenti, basso elettrico. Ottenuto il diploma di recording engineer, alla Media Production Ltd di Londra, è rientrata in Svizzera dove ha cominciato a lavorare come tecnica del suono alla Radiotelevisione Svizzera (RSI) maturando diverse esperienze nel montaggio del parlato, nella registrazione di musica e nel teatro radiofonico.

Nel 2007, parallelamente al suo lavoro alla RSI, ha fondato lo studio di registrazione Lemura recording Studio con sede a Montagnola (Lugano). Da diversi anni, inoltre, collabora con l’associazione mondiale AES (Audio Engineering Society) come esperta in commissione agli esami federali di tecnico del suono a Berna.

Cura l’editing e il mastering di pressoché tutti gli spazi sonori dei progetti di Trickster-p.

ZENO GABAGLIO

[EN] Since training as a cellist and obtaining a master’s in free improvisation and a further degree in philosophy, Zeno Gabaglio has devoted himself to music in all its facets, with a preference for authentic, innovative and unconventional musical genres. To date, he has released six albums, composed more than forty soundtracks for film and theatre, and performed in concerts across Europe, America and Asia. He is a member of the SUISA Board, chair of the music advisory committee (Sottocommissione musica) of Canton Ticino and chair of the Fondation SUISA in Lausanne.

Since 2018 he collaborates regularly with Trickster-p for whom he composes the original sound space of all projects.


Common land_𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲

[IT] Dopo la formazione di violoncellista, il master in improvvisazione libera e il bachelor in filosofia (Lugano, Basilea e Firenze), si dedica alla musica in tutte le sue sfaccettature, con una predilezione per gli indirizzi musicali autentici, innovativi e insoliti. Ha sin qui pubblicato sei dischi, realizzato più di quaranta colonne sonore per cinema e teatro, partecipato a concerti in Europa, America e Asia. È membro del consiglio SUISA, presidente della Sottocommissione musica del Canton Ticino presidente della Fondation SUISA di Losanna.

Dal 2018 collabora con Trickster-p, per cui ha composto lo spazio sonoro originale di tutti i progetti più recenti.

GIORGIO ZENO GRAF

[EN] Visual artist born in Canton Ticino, he lives and works in Zurich. He holds a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Visual Arts and a Master’s degree in Art Education from the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK). He has developed a multidisciplinary practice with a particular focus on the use of materials and their historical, ecological and symbolic resonances. Through sculpture, drawing and installation, his approach embraces the potential for transformation, seeking semiotic relationships between body, object and environment.

In 2020, he was awarded Le stanze dell’arte / Premio giovani artisti Genesi creative (m.a.x. museo, Chiasso). He has taken part in several group exhibitions, including La Rada and Monte Verità, Cabaret Voltaire (Zurich), Istituto Svizzero (Rome), Bissone Arte 22 (Bissone), Castelgrande (Bellinzona) and Spazio Fervida (Lugano).

[IT] Artista visivo, nato in Canton Ticino, risiede e opera a Zurigo. Ha conseguito il Master in Arti visive e il Master in Pedagogia dell’Arte presso la Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK), dove ha sviluppato una pratica multidisciplinare con un’attenzione particolare all’uso dei materiali e alle loro risonanze storiche, ecologiche e simboliche. Attraverso scultura, disegno e installazione, il suo approccio abbraccia il potenziale di trasformazione, cercando relazioni semiotiche tra corpo, oggetto e ambiente.

Nel 2020 è stato insignito del Premio Le stanze dell’arte / Premio giovani artisti Genesi creativa, promosso dal m.a.x. museo di Chiasso. Ha preso parte a diverse esposizioni collettive, tra cui La Rada e Monte Verità, Cabaret Voltaire (Zurigo), Istituto Svizzero (Roma), Bissone Arte 22 (Bissone), Castelgrande (Bellinzona) e Spazio Fervida (Lugano).
