What happens when you let yourself be held?
Really held.
Long enough for the body to realise it doesn’t have to do anything.
You don’t have to make the moment comfortable.
You don’t have to give something back.
You don’t have to be the strong one.
You can simply… receive.
And sometimes that is where everything cracks open.
Because being held can bring you face to face with all the places where you learned to hold yourself together.
Where you stopped asking.
Where receiving became uncomfortable.
Where independence became armour.
Where your body learned to stay just a little bit guarded, even inside an embrace.
At Antara Ta**ra Festival, we witnessed moments when that armour softened.
A head resting heavier on someone’s shoulder.
A breath finally leaving the body.
Tears arriving without a story attached to them.
Two people staying there.
No fixing. No rushing.
Just enough presence for something inside to realise:
I can soften here.
And there is so much power in that.
Perhaps one of the deepest forms of intimacy begins with discovering that we can receive without disappearing inside another person.
This November, we gather again. ❤️🔥
