✨ We are proud to announce Julio Bocca as the recipient of this year's Prix de Lausanne Lifetime Achievement Award! ✨

Born in Buenos Aires, Julio began dancing at just four years old under his mother's guidance. In 1985, he won the Gold Medal at the Moscow International Dance Competition, and the following year he joined American Ballet Theatre as a principal dancer, going on to perform on the world's greatest stages.

Dancer, director, teacher, and founder of Ballet Argentino, he has shaped generations of artists. Today, he is the Artistic Director of the Teatro Colón Ballet in Buenos Aires.

Congratulations on your Lifetime Achievement Award, and thank you, Julio, for a lifetime of passion, artistry, and dedication to dance 🩰👏

✨ YOUNG CREATION AWARD 2026 ✨

At the Prix de Lausanne, we sat down with the young choreographers selected for the Young Creation Award 2026. They opened up about what really drives them: the first spark, the struggles of creating, the stories they need to tell, the emotions they want to ignite on stage.

For seven years, the YCA has been the springboard for boundary-pushing choreographers to make their mark. We're proud to keep backing these fresh artistic voices and putting tomorrow's dance generations in the spotlight.

⏳ YCA 2027 submissions open TODAY: October 15, 12:00 PM (Swiss time).
What will this new chapter bring? We can't wait to find out 🤸🏽

In the meantime, meet one of our 2026 candidates, Kyra Weentzlaff (United States), and stay tuned: more videos are coming soon!
