While in Lausanne Switzerland
My daughter and I were invited to be apart of an art installation. Printed on canvas was hanging from the ceiling in the cathedral. We shaded in the print with different fine tipped sharpies. While I didn’t understand all that she was saying (my French isn’t very advanced), we got the gist enough to take part. Such a cool once in a lifetime experience!

Hi everyone! 👋 I’m Robyn, the artist and owner of More Than Salt Art Studio right here in sunny Queen Creek, Arizona.
I’ve been creating art off and on my whole life, but I’m proudly self-taught when it comes to acrylic painting. What started as a challenge to paint a couple paintings for my living room, has grown into a way to capture the beauty in nature’s incredible mix of strength and gentleness.
My paintings focus on detailed, broken-down blocks of mountains, deserts, and oceans. I start with the raw, grounded elements (the hard edges of rock formations, rugged cacti, or crashing waves) and then layer in softer, dreamy sunsets and skies—often superimposing those hues over the original scenes to highlight the contrast between nature’s toughness and its tender beauty. It’s my way of showing how the same landscape can feel both powerful and peaceful at once.
A little more about me: I’m a Christian, a wife to a wonderful husband, a mom to one amazing pre teen, a dog mom to Tater tot the Great Dane (my painting buddy!) and a dedicated gardener who loves growing our food. I find so much inspiration in the tiny details—the way light hits water on a leaf, the texture of desert sand, or the subtle shift in colors during golden hour. Those moments remind me of God’s beauty in every part of creation.
Currently, most of my work is created through custom commissions, allowing me to bring someone’s personal vision or favorite place to life in this unique style. If you’re interested in commissioning a piece, have questions about my process, or just want to chat about nature’s contrasts, I’d love to hear from you—drop a comment or send me a DM! 🌵🌊✨

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord… the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth.” — Ephesians 5:8-9
Vibrant clouds crown these sharp summits, light tracing every edge — a vivid picture of transformation from darkness to light, truth shining through the in-between. Grateful for this reminder of His call on our lives. Painted in Queen Creek, AZ.

🐝🌸Artist Tip for Everyday Living 🌸🐝
Take just 1 minute to notice the little details in God’s creation.
This busy bumble bee on my mango tree reminded me how much beauty hides in the everyday—each tiny pollen grain on its fuzzy legs, the delicate flower petals unfolding with perfect design.
Wherever you are, pause for one minute today. Take a deep breath and ~feel~ the life in what you see:
• Study the intricate patterns in a flower blooming nearby,
• Or (if you’re not melting in 90° Arizona heat like me right now 😅) marvel at the shimmer of snowflakes catching the light.
These small wonders speak to me about God’s care and creativity (Romans 1:20—His invisible qualities are clearly seen in what has been made).
As an artist, tuning in to these details fuels inspiration and gratitude.
Try it this week—what tiny beauty did you notice? Share below! 👇

“He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” — Psalm 23:3 (NIV)
A narrow trail winds through fields of yellow wildflowers, flanked by towering rock walls under a vast, quiet sky — every step feels like a gentle invitation to rest and be led. In this painted moment, I sense the Shepherd restoring what is weary and guiding toward what is right. Grateful for the reminder that He walks every path with us. Original acrylic, painted in Queen Creek, AZ.

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16
The ocean’s deep blue roils under a glowing sky, foam catching fire in the sunset — a vivid echo of how our lives, even in turmoil, can reflect His light and bring glory to the Father. Grateful for this moment of creation’s testimony. Painted in Queen Creek, AZ.
