🇩🇪/🇬🇧 X1C Maintenance

Wie ihr wisst, hat der gute Bambulab X1C mein Zuhause verlassen und ist weitergezogen. Zum Glück hat er ein tolles neues Plätzchen gefunden, was den Trennungsschmerz etwas erträglicher macht. 😇

Bevor er weiterreisen durfte, wurde er natürlich noch einmal gründlich gereinigt und gepflegt. Die perfekte Gelegenheit, euch zu zeigen, wie ich bei der Wartung vorgehe und welche Hilfsmittel ich dafür verwende.

🇩🇪/🇬🇧 DIY Puzzle zum Muttertag, direkt aus dem 3D Drucker.

Zum Muttertag geht gerne vergessen, dass nicht nur Mamas von Kindern täglich alles geben.
Auch Hundemamas stehen früh auf, kümmern sich, sorgen sich, putzen Pfoten, teilen das Sofa und wahrscheinlich auch den letzten freien Platz im Bett. 

Darum gibt es dieses Jahr keine Blumen, sondern etwas Persönlicheres.

Ein selbstgemachtes Puzzle aus dem 3D Drucker, gefüllt mit den schönsten Erinnerungen, Momenten und Fellnasenbildern.
Denn ein Geschenk bedeutet einfach mehr, wenn Zeit, Gedanken und Herz drinstecken.

On Mother’s Day, people often forget that it’s not only moms with children who give their all every single day.

Dog moms wake up early too, take care of everything, worry, clean muddy paws, share the couch and probably the last bit of free space in bed as well. 

That’s why this year it’s not about flowers, but something more personal.

A custom 3D printed puzzle filled with favourite memories, special moments and photos of furry friends.

Because a gift means so much more when time, thoughts and heart go into it.

🇩🇪/🇬🇧 Mission Blastgates, completed.

Über 3D Druck kann man sagen, was man will, aber genau bei solchen Anwendungen zeigt sich, wie stark die Filamentzauberei wirklich ist.

Die Schieber sind dicht, sehr platzsparend und lassen sich unkompliziert drucken.

Genau solche Lösungen machen den Unterschied in der Werkstatt.

🇩🇪/🇬🇧 Das P2S PTFE Schlauch Problem, fancy gelöst.

Wer einen P2S hat, kennt es vielleicht. Oben an der Scheibe und am PTFE Schlauch zum Druckkopf sammeln sich mit der Zeit komische Plastikreste. Sieht unschön aus und gehört da definitiv nicht hin.

Der Grund ist simpel. Der Schlauch reibt an der Glasscheibe und trägt sich langsam ab. Stück für Stück.

Die Lösung ist genauso simpel. Das Top Cover etwas anheben. Dafür gibt es diverse Modelle, ich habe mich für dieses entschieden: MakerWorld ID 1923466 (P2S Riser).

Gedruckt habe ich das Ganze in PETG Translucent Teal von Bambulab. Gibt richtig coole Optik und passt perfekt.
Habt ihr das Problem auch schon gehabt?
🇬🇧 The P2S PTFE tube problem, solved cleanly.

If you own a P2S, you might have noticed it already. Strange plastic residue starts building up on the top glass and along the PTFE tube leading to the print head. Looks messy and definitely does not belong there.
The reason is simple. The tube rubs against the glass and slowly wears down over time. Bit by bit.

The fix is just as simple. Raise the top cover slightly. There are different models out there, I went with this one: MakerWorld ID 1923466 P2S riser

I printed it in PETG Translucent Teal from Bambulab. Gives a really clean look and fits perfectly into the setup.

🇩🇪/🇬🇧 Smartphone Cover selbst gedruckt

Die Schutzhülle meines iPhones hat sich leider verabschiedet. Anstatt direkt eine neue zu kaufen, dachte ich mir: Warum nicht einfach selbst drucken?

Gesagt, getan. Die Hülle ist richtig gut geworden, sitzt perfekt und macht genau das, was sie soll.

Gedruckt habe ich sie aus TPU (Shore A98) und dem bewährten PETG von . Ich finde, das Ergebnis kann sich definitiv sehen lassen. Würdet ihr euer Smartphone Cover auch selbst drucken?

The protective case for my iPhone finally gave up. Instead of buying a new one right away, I thought: why not just print one myself?

So I did. The case turned out really well, fits perfectly, and does exactly what it is supposed to do.

I printed it using TPU (Shore A98) and the trusted PETG from . I think the result turned out pretty nice. Would you print your own smartphone case too?

🇩🇪/🇬🇧 Bambu Lab P2S Unboxing

Wer meinen Kanal aufmerksam verfolgt, hat sicher schon gemerkt, dass bei mir der P2S eingezogen ist und den X1C ersetzt hat.
Das Auspacken und Aufbauen dieses Druckers will ich euch natürlich nicht vorenthalten, denn genau solche Momente machen einfach richtig Spass.

Falls ihr also gerade auf Ostern hin mit einem neuen 3D-Drucker liebäugelt, ist das hier definitiv noch eine spannende Empfehlung, neben dem U1 von Snapmaker.

Was wäre aktuell euer Favorit?

If you’ve been following my channel closely, you’ve probably already noticed that the P2S has officially moved into my workshop and replaced the X1C.
Of course, I couldn’t keep the unboxing and setup of this printer from you, because moments like this are just way too much fun.

So if you’re currently thinking about getting a new 3D printer around Easter, this is definitely another solid recommendation, alongside the U1 from Snapmaker.

🇩🇪/🇬🇧 Say goodbye, lovely dust.

Mit 3D Druck habe ich damals eigentlich wegen Absaugadaptern angefangen. Genau deshalb fand ich die Anfrage von Roman (.ch )ziemlich cool. Ein guter Grund, mich wieder einmal mit dem Thema zu beschäftigen.

Für seine neue Absauganlage brauchte Roman verschiedene Adapter und Schieber, damit er alle Maschinen anschliessen kann. Von 160 mm Schlauchadaptern bis zu 125/125 Blast Gates war alles dabei.

Nach der Installation aller Teile saugt es jetzt ordentlich an den Maschinen, und die Neonfarben bringen gleich noch etwas Leben in die Werkstatt. Gefällt mir ziemlich gut. Was sagt ihr?

Back when I started with 3D printing, it was actually because I needed dust extraction adapters. That is exactly why Roman’s (.ch ) request was pretty cool. A good reason to dive back into that topic again.

For his new dust extraction system, Roman needed several adapters and blast gates so he could connect all of his machines. Everything was included, from 160 mm hose adapters to 125/125 blast gates.

After installing all the parts, the machines are now properly connected to the system, and the neon colors add a nice pop to the workshop. I really like how it turned out. What do you think?

🇩🇪/🇬🇧 Trockenes Filament ist kein Nice to have, sondern Pflicht!

Wer 3D druckt, kennt die kleinen Säcklein, die bei jeder Filamentrolle dabei sind. Ich habe sie bisher immer wiederverwendet, grosszügig und ziemlich lange.
Irgendwann sind sie aber vollgesogen. Ab da bringen sie nichts mehr und werden eher kontraproduktiv

Jetzt habe ich ein Modell gefunden, das ich künftig fix einsetze. Ein modulares Design, simpel aufgebaut und schnell gedruckt. Genau mein Ding.
Die Silikakügelchen lassen sich easy austauschen und das Filament bleibt deutlich länger trocken. Klare Empfehlung geht raus!👍

🇬🇧 Dry filament is not optional. It is essential!

If you are into 3D printing, you know those tiny desiccant bags that come with every spool. I used to reuse them generously and for way too long.
At some point they are saturated. From then on they stop helping and actually work against you.

I found a model that will replace them in my setup. Modular design, simple construction and quick to print. Exactly how I like it. The silica beads are easy to swap and your filament stays dry much longer.

🇩🇪/🇬🇧 Multicolor mit vier Toolheads, welcome to the Family

Einige haben es bereits erraten, dass der Snapmaker U1 meine 3D Druckerfamilie erweitern wird.

Der Kleine hat mich schon in der Kickstarter Kampagne begeistert, vor allem mit dem Ansatz von vier unabhängigen Werkzeugköpfen. Das macht Multicolor und Multimaterial Druck wie zum Beispiel PETG und TPU deutlich schneller und reduziert den P**p Abfall massiv.

Ich muss sagen, Unboxing und Zusammenbau waren ein Genuss und haben richtig Spass gemacht. Alles ist durchdacht, sauber erklärt und logisch aufgebaut. Auch die Kalibrierung lief dank der cleveren Menüführung problemlos. Insgesamt ein sehr stimmiges Gesamtpaket.

Und das Druckergebnis? Meiner Meinung nach steht es den anderen Druckern in nichts nach. Wirklich stark.

Kennt ihr den Drucker schon? Wollt ihr mehr davon sehen?
🇬🇧 Multicolor with four toolheads, welcome to the family

Some of you already guessed that the Snapmaker U1 would be joining my 3D printer lineup.

This little machine impressed me right from the Kickstarter campaign, especially with its concept of four independent toolheads. That makes multicolor and multimaterial printing, like PETG and TPU, much faster and significantly reduces p**p waste.

I have to say, the unboxing and assembly were a real pleasure and a lot of fun. Everything is well thought out, clearly explained, and logically designed. Calibration was just as smooth thanks to the smart menu guidance. Overall, a very solid and well rounded package.

And the print quality? In my opinion, it easily keeps up with my other printers. Really impressive.

🇩🇪/🇬🇧 Radius herausfinden?

Designer und Modeller, aber auch die Basteler unter uns, kennen wohl das Problem, dass sobald eine Abrundung berücksichtigt werden muss, die Frage nach dem Radius, Durchmesser und Umfang auftaucht.

Bisher habe ich mir dabei immer mit einer Auswahl an Schablonen geholfen um mich an die richtige Rundung herangetastet. Jetzt habe ich aber dieses clevere Gadget entdeckt, welches erstaunlich gut funktioniert. Macht die ganze Geschichte schneller, einfacher und zuverlässiger.

Designers, modelers and DIY folks know the struggle. As soon as you need a rounded edge, the question of radius, diameter or circumference pops up.
I used to rely on different templates to get close to the right curve. Recently I found this clever little gadget that works surprisingly well. It makes the whole process faster, easier and more reliable.
