🌍✨ Une étape importante pour le Portail des Nations

La réception officielle organisée aujourd’hui a réuni le Secrétaire général des Nations Unies António Guterres, le Vice-Président de la Confédération suisse et chef du Département fédéral des affaires étrangères Ignazio Cassis, la Conseillère d’État de la République et canton de Genève Nathalie Fontanet, la Conseillère administrative de la Ville de Genève Marjorie de Chastonay ainsi que le Président de la Fondation Portail des Nations Ivan Pictet, aux côtés de nombreux partenaires institutionnels et privés 🤝

À travers leurs interventions, un message commun s’est dégagé : plus que jamais, il est essentiel de rapprocher le public de l’action multilatérale et de créer des espaces de dialogue permettant de mieux comprendre le rôle de la coopération internationale dans un monde en mutation.

Le Portail des Nations porte cette ambition en créant un lieu vivant, interactif et accessible, conçu pour connecter les visiteurs au travail concret des Nations Unies à Genève et à son impact dans nos sociétés et à travers le monde.

📅 En mai 2026, nous nous réjouissons d’accueillir le public pour découvrir l’expérience “Together” : un parcours immersif, innovant et multilingue qui donnera vie à l’action des organisations internationales et offrira une nouvelle manière d’explorer la Genève internationale.

🌍✨ An important day for the Portail des Nations

Today’s official reception brought together United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, Vice President of the Swiss Confederation and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Ignazio Cassis, State Councillor of the Republic and Canton of Geneva Nathalie Fontanet, City Councillor of the City of Geneva Marjorie de Chastonay and President of the Portail des Nations Foundation van Pictet, alongside numerous institutional and private partners 🤝

Through their remarks, a shared message emerged: more than ever, it is essential to strengthen the connection between international institutions and the public, and to foster greater understanding of multilateral cooperation in a rapidly changing world.

The Portail des Nations embodies this ambition by creating a vibrant, interactive and accessible space designed to connect visitors with the concrete work carried out by the United Nations in Geneva and its impact on societies around the world.

📅 On May 2026, we look forward to welcoming visitors to discover the “Together” experience, an immersive and innovative journey that brings to life the work of international organizations and offers a new way to explore International Geneva.

Le gros œuvre du Portail des Nations, nouveau Centre des visiteurs de l'ONU Genève, est désormais terminé 🏗️
Sur le chantier, des dizaines de métiers œuvrent ensemble 🤝
Artisans, ouvriers, ingénieurs, architectes, équipes de sécurité, techniciens… tous unis pour faire de ce lieu un symbole de coopération.

👉 Ici commenceront les visites de l’ONU à Genève

À partir de mai 2026, les visiteurs entreront par le Portail des Nations, nouveau point de départ des visites guidées du Palais des Nations.

Ce nouvel espace proposera une expérience immersive permettant de mieux comprendre le rôle multilatéral des Nations Unies à Genève — un rôle construit autour du dialogue, de la coopération et d’une responsabilité partagée entre les peuples.

Un lieu pour découvrir les valeurs qui façonnent l’action multilatérale au cœur de Genève.

👉 This is where visits to the UN Geneva will begin

From May 2026, visitors will enter through the Portail des Nations, the new starting point for guided tours of the Palais des Nations.

This new visitor space will offer an immersive experience designed to help audiences better understand the multilateral role of the United Nations in Geneva — shaped by dialogue, cooperation, and shared responsibility.

A place to explore the values at the heart of multilateral action in Geneva.
