CHRISTIAN KOSMAS MAYER AT KUNSTRAUM TRAKLHAUS
On view until September 12th 2026, the exhibition "Under Other Suns" brings together two spatial installations by Christian Kosmas Mayer and Pablo Martínez-Zárate that place plants at the center as living organisms whose existence is inseparably intertwined with history, politics, and cultural imaginaries. From different perspectives, both artists explore how plants are embedded in scientific, colonial, and cultural processes while also embodying their own temporality and presence—one that resists human systems of order and interpretation.
In cooperation with the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts.
