SBCA - Swiss Bangladeshi Cultural Association is the first Bangladeshi Association in Switzerland to be focused exclusively on Bangladesh's Culture, without any political or religious influence. Its goals are as follow:
- Achieve and maintain a high level of culture heritage to generations of Bangladeshis brought up in Switzerland
- Unite the Bangladeshi community in Switzerland for its rich cu
lture, especially avoiding the Bangladeshi political influence and religious influence
- Facilitate access to Bangladeshi culture for all citizens (Music, Dance, Art, Language, Cooking, Geography, etc.)
- Respect the diversity of regional cultural identities present in Bangladesh
- Maintain the diversity of disciplines and cultural expressions
- Promote cooperation, coordination and cultural exchanges between all the Bangladeshis in Switzerland
- Maintain a good knowledge of the history and origins of Bangladesh, particularly among Bangladeshi children
- Organize Bangladeshi cultural charity events to ensure periodical get-togethers between Bangladeshis and all communities living in Switzerland and neighboring France
- Promote Bengali Art Cinema
- Organize Bangla language courses for new generations
- Organize Bangla song lessons
- Organize Bangla folk dance lessons
- Organize arts competitions for children on Bangladeshi themes
- Parents gathering to create community ties
- Promote cultural exchange between the Swiss and the Bangladeshis
- Be available to organizations / associations / state of Geneva to provide - additional information about Bangladesh and its culture as well as some useful contacts
- Provide opportunities for interpretation and translation French-Bengali / Bangla-English and vice versa
