✨Salsa Social Dancing classes during the semester ✨(intermediate level)] 💃🕺
Hello everyone! Initiations are over, but we’re coming back with special classes during the semester! 🎉
Registration is a membership subscription to CUBAliente for the semester.
The first lesson will be on October 13th and it will be a free trial course! Please come try it out for yourself and register by October 31st.
The prerequisite is ~1 year of salsa, meaning that you can already do a few figures comfortably on time with the music. 🎶
This course is a series of classes focusing on salsa social dancing foundations to teach you how to better enjoy social dancing and look more fluid. 💫
Among the things that we plan to teach:
⁃ A good-looking guapea, to use it as a foundation instead of an awkward transition 💃🔄
⁃ A good-looking closed position to enjoy the low-energy parts of a song 🎶
⁃ Traveling in couple, to enjoy the intro of the song 🎶🚶♀️🚶♂️
⁃ Decomposing figures, to be able to break them and mix them 🧩✨
⁃ Timba musicality basics, to truly enjoy the diversity of Cuban music 🇨🇺 (or when it doesn’t make sense to do the salsa basic and what you should do instead)
⁃ Son and a sense of contratiempo 🎶⏳
💲Subscription fees for the whole semester are the following:
20 CHF for AGEPoly members (EPFL students, etc) 🎓
30 CHF for students 🏫
40 CHF for the general public 🌍
LAST day to register is October 31st‼️
